Is Hainsey still officially a rookie?

I think Hossa, Hainsey, and only one of Plekanec or Higgins -- if Hossa has a good camp. If he doesn't and they are faced with the prospect of playing him or losing him on waivers, he'll be dealt. Of course, this is all based on actually having a season next year. I don't really know how it will play out if we don't.

If you look at the actuel line-up, I think we can see 4 rookie. If you include Hossa, you have to include Hainsey too...After that, Higgins and Plekanec should make it and don't forget Perezhogin. So I would say 4 or 5, depend of the UFA signing. If Gainey sign a UFA, there's one prospects who will have to start in Hamilton.

So, in the actuel situation:

Zednik-Koivu-Perezhogin
Higgins-Ribeiro-Ryder
Hossa-Bonk-Bulis
Plekanek-Begin-Ward

Souray-Komisarek
Markov-Rivet
Hainsey-Brisebois

Theodore
Huet

Yes that looks pretty much the team for next season, the team is building with youth, they might get a veteren close to playoffs if they have a chance to make it...other than that don't expect any signing this summer imo

I think it could be as many as 4 or 5 depending on who we sign and who impresses in camp and as low as 2. I'm thinking to start Hossa-2nd line, Plekcanek- 3/4 line, Higgins- 3/4 line, Hainsey- Defence.

I'm predicting 4 off the start of the season, but depending on what happens in the off-season and who impresses in camp it could be as few as 2 or possibly as many as 5.

I would say 4: Hossa,Hainsey,Higgins,Plekanec.

Doesn't mean all 4 would be in the lineup at the same time though:

Zednik-Koivu-Kovalev->Still Hoping
Hossa-Ribeiro-Zednik
Bulis-Bonk-Higgins
Plekanec-Begin-Ward

I say 3 to 4:

Plekanec, Higgins, Perezhogin (where else can he play?), and maybe Hainsey.

Hossa will be left out for waivers unless he miraculously screws himself a brand new head this summer (that's if there's any NHL hockey).

Last chance for Hossa as a CH?!

Wow!!!! Didn't know Zednik could pull double shifts!

I go with Hossa, Higgins, Plekanec and Hainsey. Whether Perezhogin makes the team depends on whether we could send him to play in Russia should he falter during the season. If we can't then I don't see the Habs keeping him around even if he plays well in camp (unless he's fantastic ) because if his play were to tail off such that he wasn't good enough to be in the line-up, then he'd sit in the press box and his development would be seriously slowed.

Boullion has to be somewhere too.

But that line up brings a tear to my eye
Lets see what our boys can do!

Hossa, Hainsey, Perezhogin, Higgins, Plekanec, Beauchemin and Kastsitsyn...damn, that's alot of rookies, there's not many teams in the NHL that can say that they have 7 rookies who can actually compete for a spot next year...

so IMO, Marcel Hossa, Ron Hainsey, Tomas Plekanec and Francois Beauchemin...Hossa and Hainsey have to make the team, and IMO they will, Plekanec has nothing left to prove in the AHL, he'll be used sparingly in Montreal but the experience he will gain will be important, he'll be the 13th forward IMO, and then theirs Beauchemin, who IMO should be the 7th d-man as it looks like Bouillon is leaving, and I don't mind that at all

I just don't get a warm fuzzy about Hainsey or Hossa. I see Higgins and Plekanec being the only 2 to get spots. It would be nice to have all 4, but I think it might be too big a stretch.

Three. Hossa and Hainsey almost full time Dagenais and Bouillon filling in for them when needed. Then Plekanec and Higgins splitting for one spot, other playing for 4th line on big team other getting bigger minutes at Hamilton. I dont think they all will be in the lineup at the same time Habs already having several young players in Ribs Ryder and Komi. Hopefully there will be couple veterans added to keep the team going too inexperienced.

It's not really 4 though, Hainsey and Hossa, you can pretty much consider them part of the NHL roster, so really I think Plekanec and Beauchemin will be the only rookies to make the team

True, I guess with both having to clear waivers if they don't make the team, they are pretty much on the roster I guess.
