Is it confirmed that A.Kost will play? I thought i read things were still uncertain about tomorow, and that he might sit again in order not to take chances. I may be wrong, so, anybody can confirm this?

And not seeing TK in the lienup is odd, he's been playing fine...

The habs really dont have an excuse to lose this one. It is there for the taking.

I dont see how that D is going to handle one line of offense, let alone the other two.

I fixed the Canes lines according to the rumored lines on their board...

One small thing... can we change the opponent's keys to victory... they seem to be the same every game... can we maybe get them a little more team specific.

A.Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev
Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay
S.Kostitsyn-Lang-Higgins
Laraque-Lapierre-Begin

Markov-Komisarek
Hamrlik-O'Byrne
Bouillon-Gorges

If this is the lineup I might have to *** my pantaloons!!! lol...what's La Fleur going to say now??? "Well they have 3 1st lines!"

Two things... Andrei still needs medical clearance AFAIK and switch Higgins and Sergei.

I'm betting he gets it... but we saw with Higgins that its not always the case.

just clicked on the news on rds and the article changed from when i first read it.

it now says...

"Andrei Kostitsyn attend les derniers résultats d’un test qui va démontrer qu’il ne souffre pas d’une commotion cérébrale. Après deux jours d’entraînement, il se dit prêt. Et avec une formation complète, le Canadien sera encore plus difficile à battre."

for the english readers...
AK is waiting for the last results of a test that will show he does not have a concussion. After 2 days of practice, he says he's ready and with a full squad, the habs will be even harder to beat.

I'm looking forward to the debut of 3 full scoring lines. Should make it interesting. I don't remember seeing a team like this ever before.

Probably because Kostopoulos will deck him if he tries. I think Tom has been dressing himself for a few years now.

According to this text from Marc-A. Godin from la Presse, the fourth line should be Kostopoulos-Lapierre-Begin, as it should be.

And Habs 3rd in the league in faceoffs behind San Jose and Detroit. Lapierre, Pleks and Koivu all well above 50%.

Their goalie stopped 57 out of 60 alst time vs NYI. Without Pitkanen and Kaberle Ward is going to face 70+ shots.

Should be fun to watch. If they don't score at least four goals in a game then I am surprised. Really they have 3 scoring lines that could potentially be #1 lines on a number of teams. I mean how do you plan for that as the opposing team?

The only thing I have a problem with this season so far is the defensive zone coverage. It has been IMO their worst aspect so far this season and something that hopefully will get better.

Hopefully Price is all rested up and ready to go tonight because he was clearly not in game shape on Saturday. But not his fault because I don't think he or Carbo ever expected him to play.

Looking at the powerplay numbers they aren't overly great but I'm not to worried about it right now. They move the puck around so well (best in the league IMO) and they are either just missing or getting robbed. The goals will come.

Lang is at 49% too... not great but still not bad, pretty impressive that almost all our centers are winning over half their faceoffs as last year aside from Saku they were terrible.

Alright, time to bounce back; hopefully Ward won't steal this game and/or Price won't lose it for us, I'm sure that the latter won't happen. Should be good. Plekanec has to get going though, you can't put too much pressure on A. Kost, just days after 'the hit'.

They average about 36 shots against, this year and its Montreal so add, at least, 10 so the Habs should have enough chances tonight to seal the deal.
