TSN ranking! Markov tops the list

After only 8 games, Markov's off to a great start.
Koivu is 3rd while Price is 7th and Tanguay is 14th.

Yeah, but look who's at #7...I don't think TSN's formula means much.

Markov has a chance to break an NHL record that was just set by Kuba, if he can get points in his next 2 games.

The previous record for a point streak by a defenceman to start the season was Brad Park with 7 games.

I'm happy for Streit. I'm not sure how the rest of the year will be for him. In Long Island, their is not to much to be happy about. I wish him luck and miss him on the team but hey.....

With all due respect, Hainsey is a pretty good player now.

Ya, but those guys were nowhere near as good as they are now when they were with us so it is deceiving to say as much.

nah i think they just needed time... Hainsey always had the talent to do it, he just needed the time... let's say they were both in our situation today instead of when they left... with our coaching staff and youth movement they would have made it

back then, we just didn't make the right personel choices. this is one area where Gainey has done a much better job then A. Savard

possibly, though it was hard to say if their development cycle would have been the same as a different environment means a different development, anywho, its all speculation. The one i would prob like to have today is Beauchemin so he could complete our top 4 with Hamrlik.

The salary cap called.... he said you wouldn't be able to keep that defence together anyway.

It would be close.. Beauchemin we could probably fit under, barely.. it's be Hainsey's salary that would be tough..
