i wouldn't say robbery. there were stretches we completely outplayed them and it's also unbelievable we couldn't bury any of our chances at ES and on the PP

I was very happy they didnt score on that powerplay. Horrible call on Staal. Horrible call on those other two penalties late in the game too. The Carolina hooking and Montreal holding ones. Reffing is getting ridiculous.

The boys better realize that these were two points they did not really deserve.

The other night I watched the curse of Degrassi on CTV and I thought it was the worst thing I had seen in the last 12 months.

After tonight I have changed my mind.

I DONT GET IT. In a SO, why do the players NOT lift the puck?? ie: Plek's deke. Just deke then finish with a lift!

Undeserved win but the Canes weren't that impressive either. Canes just played a bit better but they haven't got much more scoring chances.

Overall this was a boring game.
ES there were very few scoring chances.

Good point. But we need a big shot on the Point and sergei or tanguay ain't great at it, but maybe Andrei Kostitsyn could suit the need better.

besides for a few players, the team looked so disinterested, it was disgusting to watch. i'm guessing carbo forgot to give the boys a lashing between either periods...

Guys, let's look on the bright side of things. It's just like with the Bruins:

- we play a horrible D game
- our transition was a mess
- two lucky goals on their side
- lots of missed chances in offense
- fighting against a team that had
a) average talent
b) great coaching (better then ours - lol-ed when Bouchard explained how Laviolette and his assistants were watching who was up and ready to go on the Canadiens bench and matching their lines - weren't WE supposed to do that?)
c) great motivation, energy and will to win.

YET WE STILL WON ! AREN'T WE GOOD OR WHAT???!

Now seriously - two years ago this time we were also winning tight games but the feeling is different now. We put a very mediocre performance and the opponent could not beat us - in fact, we still looked good on many occassions.

Awful hockey game for us. Just awful aside from a brief 5-7 minute glimpse late in the 1st.

This is not how a cup contender should play against a banged up team near the end of a long road trip.

And Mike Boone (who I really like reading) somehow thinks that was a good hockey game?

We totally stole 2 points.

We are in deep ***** if Hamrlik is out for any length of time. I am far more concerned about that than being happy about this win...

Disgusting game, we will be destroyed big time if we play like that during the road trip.. When your best line is the fourth one, something wrong.. Carbo has a ton of work awaiting him.. We were playing a mediocre Canes team and we played at their level..

Edit: Latendresse was the worst player on the ice for both teams..

Note: Carbo started the OT with Pleks and A.Kost, then we saw Lang and Kovalev togheter..

As someone else said, this team needs a road trip. We are about to go on a 4 gamer, only problem is the week-long break in the middle of it.

That was bad...

but you know you have a really good team in your hand when they almost never lose two games in a row and they find a way to come out with 2 points in a crappy night like that
