I think both teams played a so-so game. Neither team deserved points and yet everybody got some. I saw Beaker and JMMR during one of the intermissions and I called the score, but I honestly couldn't decide who would end up winning.
I thought Higgins played better than last time this game. I also thought Lats had a terrible game, but that's as far as I'll go about him. I like Gui, I really do, but he did not do well tonight.
I also thought the guy sitting behind me had a really annoying voice.
Am I the only one who things the Bell Centre ice is horrible this season? The puck spends half the game bouncing around the ice like a tennis ball. It makes the game painful to watch because there is absolutely no flow when the puck won't sit down and a simple pass starts bouncing around.
Thankfully they are going on the road so they can hopefully have a decent ice surface to play on.

Ive commented on it several times to my dad and friends.
the ice is brutal.
Although we were lethargic for large stretches during this game, I feel like it's a step in the right direction. I get the feeling the KPK line is finally clicking, which is a good thing! I feel bad for Plekanec, he's running on a bad luck / nervous streak. I think that as soon as he gets a goal it'll explode for him.
We're managing to win games while not playing at our best, so that could be good news but we need to start playing to our full potential relatively soon or we could face a crash.
In any case, I think a nice little stretch of road games will do us some good. This odd start of season schedule hasn't helped.
I love Higgins. I love Lats. Higgins needs to play with Koivu and Tanguay, and Lats needs to work it with Lang and Kostitsyn.
Agreed. Either put lats with Kovalev or put higgins back with Koivu, he's wasting his talent right now on the third line and Lats has done very little to impress me. Let him develop with Lang and Sergei.

Me neither, could be very interesting. Talent, creative, speed and finish. Good balance.
I didn't miss a single game for the past three seasons.. and I've only seen 2 live this year.. I hate watching it on Canadiens Express knowing the score..

And everyone at their natural positions for a change..

Join the club. I had missed 1 game last 3 seasons (Leafs game at the end of the season last year).. This year so far I've had 2 mid terms during games and I got a 3rd one on Thursday. This semester has been terrible for following hockey with 3 night classes (monday, wednesday, thursday).
While I'm glad with the win, it would be nice to have a nice dominating win against a good team.
Hopefully that happens on thursday.
We've been a bit too lucky lately I find. Yes, we're 6-1-1, and I know the whole "good teams find a way to win" cliche, but I keep thinking about the Sens start last season and how they won a lot of games they should have lost and people were saying the same thing...
Granted, I think our team has a lot more stability than what the Sens had last season, I won't be able to shake off this feeling until we string a few convincing wins together.
Kovalev says the team is still hesitating too much and hasn't found the free-flowing style that helped the Canadiens finish first in the Eastern Conference standings last season.
He says the fact the team is winning is a testament to the personnel on board.
"That tells you we have a lot of skill," Kovalev said. "With all the hesitation and the way we're playing we still find a way to win the games.
"It's not going to be easy to win every game like that, so we have to find a way to play the game we finished with last season. We have to take the hesitation out of our game and be confident with what we're doing on the ice."
guillaume looks absolutely lost out there..and higgins is FLARIN up
i honestly didnt want to but, higgins has GOt to get on that line with tanguay and koivu, i mean its just ridiculous how guillaume is holding back that line right now...
Yea but while Higgins was playing like a madman outthere, like always he kept tripping and screwing up plays. Just like last year. Working hard amount to nothing when you don't play well.
Trap sucks, Habs don't !!! Go Habs Go !!! Go Gui Go !!! Go SK Go !!! Go Ryno Go !!!
and anyone else you guys feel like criticizing !!! Damn it's agood thing we are 6-1-1, because i probably wouldn't be here if we were 1-6-1.
I just came back from the bell center, overall an ok game...
Just that BS 2nd goal. I was near Price when it happened, so I was able to see it. He was getting up while it was shot back at him, he didn't notice it till it was in. Was a fluke goal. Yea so so game, fun and mediocre moments. The crowd in the lower areas, are so boring, my cousin and I were yelling alone the hole time, people were staring... lol fun
People make me laugh when they say The Bell Center has the loudest fans when the lower sections are like zombies. And it come across on tv too wheras the people on the lowest sections from other towns do things like slap on the glass and things like that to intimidate, in Montreal it's very quiet.

If it doesn't make you sick when your team steal a game, then maybe you shouldn't be watching sports at all. And i'm not talking about a dramatic comeback here.

It hasn't been 2 average games it's been 3 brutal ones where he looks lost and isn't hustling like he did in the first 5-6 games. I don't care if he gets any points, that'll come on that line, it's not Lats bashing, it's an opinion that he's floating and out of place on that line for the last 3 games.

Now THAT'S starting to be an old song.
Wow, you guys live in denial...
Why are you only singling out Lats? Why not O'Byrne? Or Komi? Or the Kost brothers, who are invisible on the ice and not only for the last 2 games?
Your hate for the player is beyond reasonable, yet, you aren't bashing him.
The fact is that Lats, just like many other players on that team, doesn't play like he should. But he's far from the only one, but it's so much easier to see how badly a player you hate plays.
