Top 3 Line Juggle?

Now I'm not suggesting this should be implemented next game, but now that we have all 9 of our top 9 forwards healthy (knocks on wood), do you have any interesting combinations in mind?

Currently we have:
Andrei-Plekanec-Kovalev
Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay
Higgins-Lang-Sergei

I was thinking we could find a way to reunite the CAT line and put Lang and Kovalev together for a bit:

Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay
Sergei-Lang-Kovalev
Higgins-Plekanec-Andrei

I miss the CAT line, and with Plekanec off to a slow start. I'd be ok seeing this change made.

I too would like to see the CAT line together, but I have a feeling Lat's days are numbered on the GAS line which seems to running out of its own.

Carbs now has to do a whole remification. If they lose against Minny, expect big changes.

Carbs might just put the two bros with Pleks, which had good success in camp.

Higgins with Tangs and the Cap.

Lats with Lang and Kovy.

I would try the original (pre Higgins injury) lines.
So Lats with Lang and Sergei
and
Higgins with Koivu and Tanguay

I wouldn't touch Pleks line yet.

I have the same lines, but I would put a little tweak in there.

1 : Tanguay Koivu Latendresse
1 : Sergei Lang Kovalev
1 : Higgins Plekanec Andrei
4 : Kostopoulos Lapierre Laraque/Bégin/Dandenault

Markov Komisarek
Hamrlik O'Byrne/Brisebois
Bouillon Gorges

Price/Halak

Bang! Everyone at their natural positions. But Carbo would'nt like it

Higgins - Koivu - Tanguay
Latendresse - Lang - Kovalev
Andrei - Plekanec - Sergei
Kostopoulos - Lapierre - Laraque
Begin, Dandenault

Markov - Komisarek
Hamrlik - Gorges
Bouillon - O'Byrne
Brisebois

Price
Halak

I think those could work nicely.

so nice to have all this depth. That being said I'd leave the lines alone for now. Were 6-1-1 if we were 1-6-1 I'd start juggling the lines.

I'm not sure if changes will happen if we lose against Minny. But if we don't do well on this upcoming road trip. I could definitely see a little bit of line juggling going on.

I understand your point bwoar. I hate seeing lines getting mixed around all the time too. But we have a few players that aren't quite playing up to their potential. Or seem to not quite fit in where they are right now.

So maybe try a little line juggling. If it doesn't work, they can always be put back the way they were.

I was gonna post the same thing. Putting the bros together with Pleks could be a great spark, one that lights the team ON FIRE.

It was awesome when that line first got together and both Pleks and Kosty showed what they're capable of. I'd sort of forgotten about this line. I actually like the fact that this puts Lang with Kovy and S. Kost. Could be interesting. I think that Carbo is keeping the Pleks line together though, it's only a matter of time before they connect on their chances light up a team.

I'd like to see this small tweak too. Lats played well with Sergei last year and should mesh well with Lang. I'd like to see what Higgins can do with Tanguay & Koivu.

While it's ok to make small experiments, it's also not a great idea to change too many things at once, especially on a team that got 13 pts out of 16.

With their immense success from last year, Plek-Kovy-A Kost deserve a little more time. In fact, they're creating tons of chances. It's just a matter of time until they break-out I think.

Tanguay-Koivu-A. Kostitsyn

This is time to separate AK and Kovy, AK is better on the right side and he NEEDS THE PUCK.

Higgins-Plekanec-Kovalev

Higgs and Plek need to play together long-term.

Latendresse-Lang-SK

A little bit of everything.

Personally I'm not in a huge rush to mix up the lines. I have confidence since it's only been 1 game that we've had a full line up.

Plek's line did so well last year, that I know it would be tough for anyone to want to break them up. But if they continue to struggle like they have over the next 5 games or so.

I think it might be a good idea to throw the CAT line together and try Lang with Kovy and S.Kost as you mentioned.

The problem is, the PKP line didn't get going until December last year. I just hope they can get it on before December.

Yeah we definitely can't afford to wait until December for them to really get going. IMO they should be given 5-10 games now that Andrei is back.

If the plekanek line doesn't work soon, It will be nice to see:

Higgins-Plekanek-A.Kost
Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay
S.Kost-Lang-Kovalev

Order of the line doesn't matter.

Actually, I think it'd be a good time to switch it up.
We haven't dominated any game so far except for the one vs Anaheim maybe, but we ended up losing that one.

If things don't click with Plekanec next game, and we lose, I wouldn't be surprised to see a change.
I know it's still early, and we'd be 6-2-1 or 6-1-2 which are still good records, but we can't wait until having a bad streak to make a change.

So far I like every possible option. I like all 9 of our top 9 in pretty much any combination. Depth like this is such a luxury.

That said, so long as the team is winning, I wouldn't change much. Particularly the Lats-Koivu-Tangs line, since they're playing so well. 25 points (11 goals) and a +19 combined in 8 games. That's pretty pimp.

My Favorite Line:

SK - Lang - Kovy
Tanguay - Koivu - AK
Higgings - Plek - Lats
Lapierre - Chipchura - Kosto/Laraque

With SK and AK switchable.
