“Every coach has a different style, Guy is a lot more passive, a little more relaxed than Mike could be at certain times,” he said
Tanguay is right, he has had some of his goals gift-wrapped, that being said I'm happy to have him right now but wont be getting to excited until I see how's he performing towards the end of the season.
The way he buried that penalty shot is a measure of the confidence he's playing with right now. When he releases he knows exactly where the puck is going (hence the amazing 40% shooting percentage). I'm very happy to see him fit into the system here and I hope it continues to go well for him -- and that people won't freak out if he doesn't show up on the scoresheet for a game or two.
Very noticable. Tanguay shoots with confidence. Didn't pay a whole lot of attention to him, I knew he was a good player, before he came to the Habs, but his accurate shooting is just amazing.

Great, they want to encourage each other to shoot more and all they end up doing is passing to each other.
The next off season is going to be interesting to say the least. Tanguay certainly isn't making any of the decisions any easier...
If he produces like this in the playoffs, it definitely complicates things. I didnt expect him to be a top 5 scorer on this team, and maybe he wont be, but he's off to a great start.
I think/hope that gainey will make his priority list of signings largely based on the playoff performances of all the guys who need new deals.... we'll see exactly how difficult the decision making process will be at that point.... right now, lets just relish what we have.
I have been surprised by how positive and driven Tanguay seems to be. I guess the barrage of Flames players, fans and coaching staff had created some lingering doubts in my mind. So far, he's been nothing short of excellent. He's got the first step right; he's off to a great start. Hopefully he keeps it up all season and through the playoffs.

I am glad tanguay is doing well. A good move for both teams IMO.
However, what happened to all the Habs posters who said tanguay was overrated when trade proposals were coming up last year between the 2 teams?
How things have changed....
I know I never said he was overrated, but you can't compare how he's doing now with what he did with his last team, he's on a better team that imo our system fits him like a glove. When Tanguay was on the Flames, I would have called him overpaid from the little I saw (don't watch too many flames games, still hate the team cause of '89)
