i met up with my brothers on the train and went to broad. it was a lot of fun until it became about anything but the phillies. **** was disgusting. national media's gonna be all over it, book it.

it still hasn't sunk in yet. i'm staying up to watch comcast and buy daily newseseses as it comes out.

I came back from Hatboro. What a great scene. It wasn't Broad St or Frankford and Cottman, but to witness the bedlam you see on TV with your own two eyes, there really isn't anything like it. It made me wonder what I'll be like when the Flyers win.

That's been bothering me for so long, I knew he looked like someone and I couldn't place it. He definitely does. All I could come up with was Jeff Dye from Last Comic Standing.

On a side note, I was listening to WIP today before the game, and a caller was talking about whether the Rays would leave Balfour in if the Phils pinch hit a lefty. Eskin flat out mocked the guy for even presenting the idea, and said it would never happen. The caller disputed it, but Eskin continued to laugh in his face. Well Howard, am I mistaken or did I see Balfour face Jenkins. Granted it didn't go well for the Rays, but it happened nonetheless.

That was listed as back of car on fire, or something, but looks very similar, yes.

I was thinking how awesome my pic would have been if I'd had a good DSLR with me.

I live and go to school in the same town where Upton is from. (South Jersey Native) My buddies were all giving me grief when I was rooting for the phils, but when Lidge closed it out, I simply got up and walked out without saying a word. Headed to the bar to drink in glory and tommrow im heading home for the parade. Iv'e been waiting my whole life for this championship and I can say there isn't a city and region that deserves it more. Can't wait for the parade.

Money sez Jamie Moyer retires. I'm so ****ing ecstatic for him now that he's won his title. I wish he could have got it done with the Mariners but man he pitched a GEM in the series.

Congratulation guys! I don't care much for baseball (I watched the World Series, tough) but I'm happy that Philly finally won a championship again.

WOOOOOOOOO! Doesn't even feel like I went to bed last night. Was at Champps on Deleware Ave then found parking as close to the stadium as I could, and walked all the way down to Broad. That **** was ****ing crazy. The entire street had a layer of glass and empty cans on it. **** got too crazy though. I'm not sure if it was fireworks or what, but something got set off like 3 people behind me that sounded like a bomb, so that's when I figured I had seen enough. On my way back, I did pass by the jetro. Didn't see the flipped over SUV or couch, but I did see a flipped over car right where they decided to pull the entire fence down. Oh, not to mention all the porter potties people tipped over. **** was nasty hahah. I just still can't believe this. I was ready to cry last night. It's about ****ing time Philly gets to celebrate!!!!!!! I'll see you guys at the parade!

Whoa, weird...that's where I lived as a little kid, and my parents were the folks in cars driving up and down the main drag after the 1980 championship. Wish I could've been there last night...as it was, the phone was ringing endlessly. My brother called within 5 seconds of Lidge striking out Hinske, my dad called literally 20 seconds later, and I even had two of my best friends (one a Yankees fan, the other a Sox fan) call and congratulate me. Unbelievable. Even more unbelievable that I was at Game 4, my first game at the Bank. Just awesome all around. So many good stories with this team: Moyer, Lidge, Ruiz turning it on after having a horrible season at the plate, Burrell finally breaking through when it mattered the most, the castoff J.C. Romero getting the win...god, what a freaking series.

Philadelphia Phillies, World Champs. Man, that is both weird and amazing to say/hear/type at the same time. Never thought I'd see the day...but now I have.

I am keeping my boys home from school and taking them to this parade. I grew up in NY, am a Yankees fan first, Phillies fan second. FRIGGIN PSYCHED for this city. Ive been to several parades in NY (Yankees, Isles) but this is something special. When a city has 2 teams per sport, there isnt an entire city rallying around the team in the Championship because you arent going to have Mets fans rooting for the Yankees and vice-versa. Since moving here I have seen a city that LOVES its friggin sports teams, and even though for a while the Phillies were treated like the red-headed step child, this is friggin exciting. My boys were born here and who knows if they will ever be able to experience something like this in person ever again in their lives.

Congrats Phillies!!! Congrats Philadelphia!! You've earned it!! See ya at the parade.

Jamie said earlier in the season he's coming back next year.
