Looking forward to this one, not least because of the Koivu-Koivu factor. The Wild have been playing great (well, up until tonight apparently) so it won't be easy.
Agree that it is impressive but the Wild is the least penalized team in the league with only 27 time SH (league avg around 43) and only 11 times SH at home (league avg around 21)
Oh, this game is one of the few I've been scared about ><
THeir pk and pp are scary too, especially with a team that gets a lot of penalties like ours. Plus they're the most disciplined team (no wonder they have good pk, they barely ever are on pk). Habs are going o have to be very disciplined to win this one.
Schedule-wise, we seem to be drawing a lot of teams who are on the back end of playing back-to-back games.
Normaly this would be good, but Minny is coming off a road loss and given their record one should expect them to be motivated. Backstrom was in last night so we'll probably face Harding.
I'm hoping we see Laraque in to balance Boogard. I believe Boogard was hurt before in a fight with Georges (ankle) so maybe he'll want a re-do.

I doubt it. Backstrom was pulled after allowing 3 goals in the first last night. I'd assume they go back to him for tonight's game. Yesterday was Harding's only action of the season.

yeh, i doubt it, Backstrom was yanked after giving up 3 in the first, my bet is he gets the nod again...
ughh, I hate playing games against teams that are coming off a stinker.
The Wild are going to be at their air tight best. The habs have to have their best performance of the year to date in order to pick up 2 points here.
The Habs have played a couple of stinkers lately too so don't sell them short. They have to come up with a good effort to avoid falling into a possible mini slump, because Price isn't always going to save their bacon.

yeah, but the habs have generally got away with playing stinkers with 2 points to show for it. The wild are far too disciplined and systematic to let the habs get away with it. They had a stinker and lost... we've had stinkers and won... I think teams respond better when they lose while playing a bad game more than winning while playing a bad game.
These teams like minny and the devils should give the have the most trouble this year... I didnt want the wild to have any extra incentive (for lack of a better word) to play well on top of that. You just know that a guy like lemaire will have them ready and systematically at their best.
Minnesota is not some super team that can't be beaten. They make sure the players are responsible and in the right position, which is nothing extraordinary. If our top three lines are moving their legs and taking the puck to the slot we can and should beat anybody.
