Game 10: Bruins @ Flames - 7:00pm MT - CityTV & the Fan 960

(5-2-3)

@

(5-3-1)

Quote:
With forward Matthew Lombardi sidelined with an injury and the Flames on a four-game winning streak, there are likely to be no changes to the Flames line-up.

That means they should line up like this against Boston.

Forwards

Bourque-Conroy-Iginla
Cammalleri-Langkow-Bertuzzi
Glencross-Boyd-Moss
Nystrom-Primeau-Prust

Sarich-Regehr
Phaneuf-Vandermeer
Giordano-Aucoin

Miikka Kiprusoff is expected to get the start in the Flames net.

Hopefully the winning streak continues tonight for the home team. I'm excited to get to the 'Dome and have this game started.

Go Flames!

I got another good feeling about this game.

4-1 for the Flames

Calgary: Iggy, Bourque, Phaneuf, Langkow
Boston: Savard

Kipper with 29 saves
Thomas with 25 saves

It's kinda fun to see these eastern conference opponents more often.

Go Flames!

Should be a fun game (or at least I hope so ).

So, seems that Chuck is out tonight due to a broken leg. So, that means, the Bruins have only....three ex-Flames?

The Bruins are one of the few teams I don't hate, they are in fact my favourite original six team. All this being said of course, they gave the Oilers a point and for that alone, I want two.....and none for them.

....and back the GDT.....

Nothing really in Kerr's Blog, just chatter, seems Lombardi skated today:

Matt Lombardi is back skating with the main group today, which should mean he is close to a return.

Should be a pretty entertaining game tonight, always nice to see some eastern teams and some former flames play, and Boston is definately one of my favorite East teams.

Really don't expect that Thomas will post a 3rd consecutive shutout, but falling behind early could pose a problem. Boston, after getting their goal against Vancouver, played one hell of a trap for 2 periods. So hopefully we find our offense faster than we did against Colorado.

Also, very glad to hear that Lombo is skating again. With any luck, he won't be out for too much longer.

Would prefer, if McElhinney gets the start in goal tonight, as this will be Kipper's tenth consecutive start and it is 'only' an interconferencial game, but with the upcoming back-to-back games, Keenan probably chose to start him on either Saturday or Sunday.

You'd think you would play your backup against a team that doesn't score a lot and not a 4 point division game. Boston scored 2 goals in the past 2 games. This is why we have forums so we can question and berate coaches from our couches.

Should be a good game tonight. Both teams are playing well. Thomas is due for a bad game so hopefully the flames get some shots and pressure on him.

Not a terrible first period, bad bounce over Kippers stick leading to the goal.

If we can keep up the offensive pressure we had in the last half there we'll be in good shape

2-1 lead after Phanuefs second PP goal.

Last couple shifts haven't been great for the flames, but hopefully they can kill off the remainder of the penalty and get back to playing how they were for the first 15 minutes of that second. Kipper really looks sharp. Here's hoping for a solid 3rd period.

Dion.. what a game. Scoring, drawing penalties.

It's nice having three game changers, one at each position no less.

Glad to see Boyd get one, he has worked hard tonight. Liking the whole team chemistry tonight they seem to get better each game now.

Boyd has really stepped up since Lombardi was injured, which might lead to some interesting constellations, once Lombardi returns.
