No way Labs gets a shutout here. Canucks are too fast for him. I see this going 4-3 Kings. Kopitar with 1 goal and 2 assists as the first line is revitalized in the days of old. I am just seething waiting for this game to start. Can't wait! GO KINGS!

The Kings will explode offensively tonight.. I'll say 6-0 Kings!

It's time to pimp the team you love! You know... Zad style!

Sure. But, if the Kings win, you pay me $2,000.00. Deal?

This is a special offer for "Captain Ron" only.

Incidentally, I will be there tonight. The wife won tickets on the radio. Bad news is that it is in section 304. I will be bringing binoculars.

No great revelation here, but the Kings need to take alot more shots. From nhl.com stats we're averaging 23.5 shots per game, that's 30th in the league. For some perspective: the league average is about 29.7 spg, 1st is Detroit with 39.3 spg, 10th is Atlanta with 30.4 spg and 20th is Dallas with 28.2 spg. We need to really pick it up just to be average.

On the bright side, the Kings are allowing only 25.9 spg which is 2nd in the league. First is San Jose who's allowing 23.0 spg, while Tampa Bay is allowing 37.5 spg for 30th.

Isn't 304 like the unofficial LGK section?

It's kind of funny how the American and European way of the best place in an arena to see a game differs.

The American way seems to be to sit as close to the glass as possible. The European way is the place were you can see the whole game.

I'm listening to one of the Kings representatives on a Vancouver sports radio station right now (I think he's a color guy) and jesus he's making me a fan of the Kings. The way this guy is talking up your organization and young players (even though the Vancouver host is subtle shots at the Kings) is awesome. I'm actually excited to see your team play tonight. Kopitar and Doughty sound ridiculously awesome. I already liked the Kings because they drafted Hickey but man if you guys get a goaltender it sounds like you could become the West Coast version of the Penguins/Capitals.

Have you been to Staples before? The 100's are the 20 or so rows closest to the ice. The 200's and PR seats are the next 10-12 rows and tend to be best if you're interested in watching the play develop. Then there are THREE levels of suites between the 200's and 300's. The 300's sit above the top level of suites.

The cameras that follow the action are at the top row of the 200's. The 300's start three stories higher than where the cameras sit - and are steeply raked.

I think that I have been to the Staples about five times. I have been sitting in the 200's and 300's. Yes, the 200's are great seats, but I have no problem with the 300's. I wouldn't complain, especially if I had gotten the tickets for free.

EDIT: I havn't tried sitting in the press box, even though I had accredation when I was there in March. I think I made a wise decision sitting in the 200's that time.

Thats how I have kind of thought of the Kings. Except we have 2 franchise cornerstone defensemen in Doughty and Johnson, and they have their franchise cornerstones in Crosby and Malkin. Ill take defense over offense any day

Haha, you thought that I hadn't been to Staples just because I'm from Sweden. I'm actually planning on going to LA again in February or March next year.

Also, is it just me or is the Honda Center's 400's way worse than the Staples' 300's?

It's definitely just you - I feel the need for a parachute every time I venture into the 300s.

Of course, it has been several years, but....

I respect your opinion, everybody sees at it differently.

Still, I can't understand the people who want to pay big bucks to sit with the glass in their faces. They miss the whole action.

The SMART people with the big bucks sit in the corners above the glass or in the 200s - glass seats are for suckers or for poseurs...

If you must sit on the glass, you MUST sit next to where the Goal Judge used to sit

I cant believe that was a 4 minute penalty. Kesler looked like he cut himself shaving.

Yes, I agree with you to 100%. At least you can score cheap 200 section tickets on eBay or some other site.

EDIT: Another penalty. Damn.
