Orr - Hockey Fight of the Year

Gonna be hard to top the fight from last night, what an amazing old school fight... 2 minutes? Jeez...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teAWcvVRdas

For those who missed it!

Orr, please don't fight any of my players when you come to the UC to play the Hawks in a couple months!

That was a great bout. Orr got stunned for a few seconds too after a decent punch by Boulton, but he just kept on goin!

Colton can hit hard AND take a punch. He's a great role player. One of the best. Have to love his hard work on the skating, defensive skills. He's been perhaps Rennys most successful "projects"

agree. he actually has really impressed me this year, with his skating and hockey sense. he definately deserves all the icetime he gets. He really must have busted his butt this offseason and it shows.

Ehh... looks like he got the back of his head on a lot of the punches, not just the helmet. And for those of us who have played hockey... even getting hit in the helmet that many times would hurt.

yea, but it also hurts the guy that is doing the punching. Gotta hurt their hands, I wish players that would fight would take their hemlets off before they would go at it

A lot of guys won't take off their helmets against certain fighters for fear of permanent injury. I remember reading about a fight between Kocur and Brashear, where Kocur hit Brashear so hard he broke his helmet. Brashear said he couldn't eat solid food for two days, just imagine what the damage might have been. Of course Kocur is said to have been the hardest puncher of his time if not of anytime.

That does hurt your hand, and in the end, it seemed as though those punches didn't affect Boulton a heck of a lot since he was the one with more gas at the end. Good fight.

He had more gas cause Orr threw like 30 more punches.

Great fight! You can also see the highlights on the Rangers site. It was carried on Sports South so we got to watch the game at home for once.

Slight edge to Orr thanks to all those punches to the back of Boulton's head.

I do love how Colton skates away with a smile on his face after just about every bout.

Was thinking the same thing during that scrap. Coltons hands have got to be sore. Real sore.

I dont think anyone has ever accused Orr of having "soft hands"!

Fantastic bout and everyone know something like that was coming. We needed a spark against a team with as much quality as the Rangers, and he gave it to us. He punched that stunned Orr was surely the end of it (I thought), but I was wrong as it kept going.

Such a Quality fight though...

That really was an awesome fight. Boulton landed 2 bombs towards the end there that my mouth is stil sore from. Just from watching it! I like that Orr uses both hands but when he switches he makes himself vulnerable to those shots.

How awesome would that have been if he scored on that breakaway?

Pretty sure I could have taken a lap around the block and Orr still would have been going strong.

That fight wasn't that great at all.. pretty much no good punches landed, it was just long.

Did you even watch it? If so you must be forgetting the punch landed on Orr that knocked his helmet off, and dazed him for a few seconds.

If you don't think this was a good fight, you might be a casual fan?

Most of the fights these days are hugfests because both guys wanna act tough then decide its better to grapple until the linesmen break them up, I loved watching this fight.
