We all know Danis is a good goalie. Playing his first game with his new team, against his former team/teammates, being what he is and what it means for players in his position when they play the Habs, he should give his all and more. Sadly (for him), and at the risk of having to eat some crow for breakfast sunday morning, I can't see that Isles team beat the Habs. On the Touche-O-Metre in the JdM, I'd be at 'C'est dans l'sac'. It's Plekanec's breakout night!

Oh noes Danis!

I predict 8-1 Habs, 1 goal by Streit.

You guys are gonna be handed your a** tomorrow! Mike Comrie, the most hard working Islander will net a hat-trick and Danis will shut you out. Heck, we're still Top-30 team by the way.

Didn't Danis earn a shutout in his only game with the Habs? I'm not too worried about tomorrow. He's the 3rd string goalie of the Isles, for cryin' out loud.

I know I saw him beat Buffalo at HSBC. The only time I've seen the Habs win live out of like 10 games.

That's the dumbest attitude you can possibly take.

He played five-six games with the Habs. His shutout was in Atlanta iirc.

The book is out on Danis

Why? I thought this thread was a joke and posted accordingly.

Would anyone really prefer seeing a healthy DiPietro in net for the Isles as opposed to Danis?

I know I saw him play one against the Bruins too. I assume that means he got at least one win in addition to the shutout, but maybe not... they did manage to beat us once that season.

Habs only beating the Bruins 7 times in 05-06

You never underestimate a team, no matter how bad they may look (and the Isles look bad). Danis could go in there and play like Giguere did, and it won't matter what we toss at him or how bad Streit plays, he could make us look silly.

I wasted good money to watch the Habs get dominated by the Caps 5-1 with that crappy goalie in net. He let in goals on the first two shots he faced. At the start of the third he let in his 5th goal on the Capitals' 15th shot, and the crowd started chanting for Theo (lmao).
So Jose comes in, and we outshoot the Caps 20-1 with him in net, and guess who scored -_-
Kolzig was a monster, something like 45 saves.

I don't feel comfortable about this game, we have a history of losing sure-thing match ups, nevermind the fact that Danis is a french goalie looking to extract revenge on us.

Never take any team lightly, look at how many games the Leafs have won when they came from behind? They don't have the talent to go head-to-head and beat the vast majority of the teams in the league, especially when trailing, but other teams got comfortable and their work ethic brought them right back into the game. Any 'crappy' team, this is how they win games. Let's face it, aside from the game against the Leafs, and against the Wild thursday night.. Our work ethic (outside the 4th line, which has worked extremely hard) has been horrid.

I would be more worried if the game was in Montreal.
In NY I predict a 5-1 win
