He should play in the AHL, someone could give him a job there.

He's a nice guy and like his tone and all but right now he doesnt bring a lot of insight. I have no doubt he'll work on that because he likes what he's doing.

Why should he ride the bus for a mediocre salary when he can live the good life working on TV?

LOVE having this guy on the RDS program. So smart, knows the game and has made some very accurate predictions. Even tonight against the Isles when he said if we got to 4-3, the Ilses would probably crumble. He's never over the top, never trying to push an agenda. sort of the opposite of Don Cherry (who by the way fortuitously likes "Korverlev" all of a sudden...you know, cuz he was the first star).

NOTE: PJ Stock just said (giving the highlights)- The Habs tied the game in the 4th period!!!

Also, I think Jacky D has a crush on Joey with all the fist pumps and back pats every time he does anything. I wish Bouchard was going to be on the lame ass wanna be "Best Damn", L'Antichambre (that's a prediction, I know it starts tomorrow, but wow, that deserves its own thread...why Alain Chantelois...WHY!!!).

Really ?
Could have been worse I guess. He could have said 4th quarter.. with a touchdown.

He had potential to be good...very smart player, knows the game, just either had bad luck or bad timing trying to crack a roster.

He is great.
He knows his hockey and is the best communicator after Pierre Houde.

He's great, and his insight is great.

I guess evolution passed him by in the NHL and he wasn't ready to embark on a tour of Europe.

The fact is, the lock-out allowed the man to become known in the hockey and media circles with his McDonald's Tourney thing (Remember that? Don't. Dark times, bad show, I went. Exhibition play always sucks unless it's an old timers game that gets intense...) and then he did his McDonald's Hockey Academy TV show.

People discovered his personality and he discovered himself a back-up plan if playing D became a bit too complicated.

I've enjoyed Bouchard and I like how he presents his arguments and his stories. He's quirky and funny, but he also brings good points, often from a players perspective. Often, players will be the bland ones presenting the obvious arguments (Roenick, Hull, Avery and such are exceptions), but he seems to be the one who's not afraid to speak against the grain sometimes, and I'd say he's usually right.
