Their GM would have to be an idiot to give up Kovalchuk for that.

Oh, wait...

If only he would give us Kovalchuk at the same price that he gave Hossa, 3 3rd liners (at best) and a 1st. So Lapierre + Chipchura + Fischer and a first... That would be so nice! But it wont happen...

Really.

You sure? This season?

Kostitsyn will never be more productive than Kovalev, not this season or ever in the future. Kovalev has almost 900 career PTS and 105 career playoff points.

Dear God would I love seeing Kovalchuk in Montreal. 6'2" 230 pound rocket with supreme skills. The guy is a one man team, Kovalev on steroids.

I love the Guerrero comparison, this is exactly what Kovy is.

He should start soon, because he is already way behind Parise, Getzlaf and Richards, to name a few drafted after him in 2003.

Who cares, he is what he is. Does it matter who was drafted after him?

you look like those never satisfied fans... is Kostitsyn a big part of our team success ? yes ! Of course there are better players drafted behind our players every year and for every team. Your complain is stupid and ridiculous considering the nature of the game.

I don't know what your point is, but if Andrei Kostitsyn will be more productive than Kovalev, then it's nice for the Canadiens since both players are under contract for this team, and that's all what matters.

more like attention seeking fan...

And yes there is a fair possibility that Andrei finish his career with more points then Kovy if he keeps on developing like he his right now. But luck will be a big factor, which we can't predict...

I was just saying that it's quite normal that Alex produces more than Andrei at this point in their careers. What I'm saying is that Andrei will outproduce Kovy soon enough...Probably not this season, but definitely next.

I think it is possible that Andrei has a better career than Alex's. But given with how physical Andrei plays compared to how "laid back" Alex plays, there's a chance that Andrei's career won't be as long as Kovalev's.
