Not a bad road period for the flames. Had some good chances, but just couldn't put it away. Giordano had 3 fantastic chances and looks really good tonight. Bertuzzi also looks really good. Just need to capitalize on our chances and try to keep that top line of the ducks off the scoresheet.
I thought the Flames actually looked good. Minus that one mistake which put them down. I see that they're trying and that is all I can ask of them on there second game of a back to back. The Flames also have been more physical than the Ducks, one can only see that hopefully as a good thing.
Then I have been accused before of having low standards.
It isn't over, but I don't see the sense in riding Kipper each and every game. He has played decently so far and isn't to blame on any of the goals, but I think, that some rest wouldn't do any harm.
Right after the third goal Kipper was looking over to Keenan and I believe, that he wouldn't be opposed to a little break either.

If Kipper didn't want to play then he wouldn't have played every game so far. Kipper is a workaholic. He was most likely just looking to see if Keenan was going to pull him then...asking to be pulled. Or at least that is how I read it.
Oiler fan here. Nice goal by Glencross. When he gets going you guys will love him. I have a feeling that the NW division is going to be this tight all year. Flames and wild get hot for awhile then the Oilers and avalanche will have there turn. Lets not mention those Canucks.

I don't disagree with you about Kipper's work ethic, yet a coach sometimes has to save a player from himself.
And I definetely interepreted his look to the bench as an inquiry rather than a quick check, whether Keenan was going to pull him.
Stupid Perry, he can shake his head all he wants, he got away with the third goal be happy be that.....what an ass. The Flames will get 4 minutes on the PP with, fresh ice to start the third.
Need some killer instinct on this powerplay to start the third period. Haven't liked the PP tonight, but hopefully they can get it going and get back in the game. Seems like Pardy and Sarich have been stapled to the bench which I don't exactly like. Back to back and fatigue is eventually going to take over on the defence.
kipper was moving directly towards perry and contact was made outside of the crease. how could you possibly agree with that call?
Exactly. Kipper slid outside the crease and initiated contact with Perry.
Also, how was Phaneuf not called for interference on that icing call. He hits Marchant, takes him out of the play, and another player touches it for icing. I'm pretty sure that is interference.
