I know some people think because we won w/o him, well he must be the reason. But the defense has settled down and biron has played better. Briere is good and I want him out there

I already miss his goal celebration. I want that back at the very least.

Well that game made this comment seem pretty dumb.

Metro - 1G 2A
Gagne - 2G 2A
Knuble - 2G

Can we go over the cap per the amount of one month of Briere salary (which I'm guessing is a considerable amount) or is that stipulation to the cap only apply to those who go on LTIR? (like Hatch)

I am pretty positive that only applies to when players are on LTIR.

Daniel Briere skated Monday for the first time since abdominal surgery Oct. 25 and will practice with the Flyers for about 15 minutes today.

The possibility of getting Briere back pretty soon is welcome news for the .500 team, which seems determined to overwhelm teams with offense this season, at least until some of their defensemen come off the long-term injury list.

Briere, who originally was supposed to be out about three to four weeks, is scheduled to accompany the Flyers on their trip to Ottawa on Thursday.

So indications are that he’s probably a little ahead of schedule.

I usually hate the "I hope he's not rushing it!" argument. However in this case, these types of injuries are usually recurring, so I do really hope he's not coming back too soon and this will end up haunting him all season.

Like rushing it as in...Rick DiPietro?

No kidding.

yep. its not like this team is starving for offense. Dont get me wrong I want him back, but there is no need to rush back. The Flyers have enough guys who can put the puck in the net.

I think the writer looks at 11 points out of a possible 22 so that makes it .500. Four wins in 11 games, doesn't. But it goes back to what is a loss and what isn't -- the NHL supposedly told insiders that a shootout loss ends a losing streak, it is equal to a tie.

Yeah, it certainly is deceptive.

I read somewhere alfie had this same injury and came back to play 2 weeks earlier, could be wrong though, even though i agree with your statement.
