I think thats right. Carter didn't really amaze the world last year. Marty did in the playoffs. Anyhow 4 of those should be in the all starts, but with the NHL making sure that every team has one player, who knows

some other I want to see in:
-Dustin Brown
-Johnathon Toews

The offense in the east is stacked. Ovechkin, Crosby, malkin, kovy, leclavier, are all automatic

I guess nominations for the ballots are based largely off of the previous season, as they are made so early into the current one. With that in mind, it's reasonable for Marty to be on the ballot and Carter off of it. However, with that same thought in mind, I think it would also be reasonable to see Coburn on the ballot...of course, I'm not so sure that his play so far this year makes him worthy.

And I suppose Gagne, while injured last year...is still a big enough star to automatically make the ballot as long as he's healthy.

Also, I think we can all agree that this year's big write-in for the Flyers will wind up being Boyd Kane.

For the AHL all star game? That's the only ASG Downie even deserves a sniff at.

So write him in.

This is why I hate all-star games. Fans just whine and cry that their favourites didn't get in or aren't on the ballot. There's what, 700 players in the NHL? Not everyone will get their way.

Gags, Richards, Timonen

That's it. In fact, we might even only see 1 or 2 out of this list, probably 2.

Your leaving out Vanek, Heatley, Spezza, Alfredsson, Parise just to name a few.

I think seeing more then 2 Flyers in the All-star game is unlikely, and Timonen easily deserves it.

I say Gagne is a lock, possible Richards as well. As much as Kimmo should be in it, his stats need to improve if he wants a chance.

It's not about everyone getting their way. It's about the most deserving players. Carter is deserving. Biron is not.

The fact that this is already out in NOVEMBER just one month into the season is an absolute joke!

But if you've ever followed the all-star game balloting, it's not always about who's hot in October, it's about cemented star status. As I said, write Carter in if it makes you feel better. There's still months before the whole lineup is decided on, Carter could still very well make it to the game. Remember, the fan voting is only for the starting lineup.

Richards wasn't on the ballot last year and was voted in.

At least we can still vote Sergei Gonchar and Ryan Whitney in.

Another guy I noticed got snubbed: Nik Zherdev. I'm not even a Rangers fan and it's hard to ignore what he's doing over in NY.

Yeah, that's what everyone's complaining about. Thank you for explaining it to all of us so we understood what we weren't happy with.

I love Carter as much as the next guy but really, Center is a tough position to make the allstar team at. Who of these players would be behind Carter...not from just a Flyers fan standpoint but from the whole league's fans...

Carter 9 goals- 3 assists- 12 points
Crosby 3 goals-12 assists- 15 points
Malkin 4 goals-14 assists- 18 points
Savard 5 goals-10 assists- 15 points
Richards 4 goals-10 assists- 14 points

Then theres guys that arent off to the best start but are world class players like Lecavalier and Spezza.

I would love to see Carter in the allstar game, I think hes an awesome player but this just might not be his year. Lecavalier will get in because he is the only decent player on his team and every team gets one player. Crosby and Malkin will both get in because they really cannot be denied and then that leaves one spot for guys like Savard, Richards, Spezza, Staal and Carter.

Personally I think this year Gagne and Richie will be our 2 players in the allstar game.
