Prediction: Carey Price will start the All-Star Game

With the Hab hype and Brodeur out, I say he wins the popular vote, thinly beating out Lundqvist and Fleury.

And I believe he'll finish 3rd behind Lundqvist and Fleury. Unfortunately, I think we'll have one 1 starter in Markov.

There are some powerhouse forwards in the East, so that wouldn't be too disappointing. it's hard to imagine any other forwards beating out Sid, Ovechkin, and Lecavalier, nor should they. Maybe Malkin.

Since Offense is best in the ASG, and seeing Komi there would raise his value, we should vote for Koivu-Tanguay-Kovy-Markov-Streit-Price!

Check out the Bruins board. They're all ******** because Price and Komi made the ballot over Thomas and Wideman.

Poor Komi

Among Dmen:
blocked shots: 1st
hits: T-2nd
+/-: T-5th
points: T-138th = no all-star appearance

Would've loved to see him in any of the skills competition events!

Could we perhaps vote for Marc Denis as a write-in? That would beat the Fitzpatrick gig by a mile!

Perhaps they could introduce a new forechecking competition, and we could vote who would be the live targets! Hmmm Tucker...Avery....Chara?

Great!

I'll vote for every Habs, but I don't want to see Komo there... He's not a all-star game type of player...

And why the hell are Bruins fans whining? Price has been more consistent than Thomas so far, and Wideman has done nothing to deserve a place there.

We should vote for Chelios in the west. It would be so cool to see him there! I think he's still injured right now but who cares?!

They need to create a checking competition. Bring in a few peewee teams, and vote in guys like Komi, Chara, Brown...whoever breaks the most bones wins.

Fans only get to vote for the 6 starters of each team.... not the 2nd-4th lines... 3-6th ds and 2nd-3rd goalies.

IMO, Markov is a lock for the starting line-up. With Brodeur out, and all the hype surrounding Price, he has a very good chance starting. Lunqvist is the one to beat.

As for the forwards, Crosby and AO are likely locks. That leaves one spot for another Hab on the starting line-up. Tanguay has no chance for me, since he is low profile and hes never been the best and most popular player on his team. Koivu has always been popular arpund the league. His name has always been on the ASG voting ballot. He's the captain for the Habs for long now and I think he's much more popular than Kovy for Habs fans out of Montreal. If he can keep he's PPG until the end of voting, he might sneak in. Then hopefully, Kovu could also be selected on the team, especially if Carbo is the head coach.

With the number of fans we've got here, why don't we go all-out with Habs players, it would be relatively easy to publicise this via radio stations and sports channels, especially with the game being held here....

No tim thomas??? OUTRAGE!!!

Bruins fans are so fical. Will complain and moan about anything the habs do or have.

Its ridiculous really.

I guess thats what happens when you constantly beat a team and they run out of excuses, eventually you have to start conspiracy theories.

As for the ballots, good to see the habs have 6 nominations, wouldnt put Komi there, but its a democracy, let people vote for who they want to see.

Well, in all fairness Thomas had more of a right to be there than Martin Biron. That said, his stats would likely plunge by the time the all-star break gets here given his inconsistency. Tim Thomas = All Star? Just sounds dirty. Kind like Boston = Stanley Cup champions.

The funniest thing I've heard.

Gerard Gagnon on La Zone tonight actually said to answering Michel Villeneuve's question as to which player out of the 6 were they surprised to see on the ballot, he answered ''Markov''.. Oy..
