Guarantee it was about Hillary Duff. Probably something pertaining to her horse teeth.

I don't know what it was all about but it was laughable. Dubinsky, while not a good fighter, would have some serious ownage on Comrie. When it comes to hitting, when it comes to having a tussle.

A couple of times comrie made a run at him and bounced off, I chuckled.

I would have loved for Dubinsky to bop that bobble head.

Dubinsky had a reputation in Jr's for being a real pain in the ass. He was voted "Most Irritating Player" in the WHL two years in a row. I'm sure he said or did something to Comrie.

That being said, someone should have put Comrie through the glass.

Comrie levelled him once, the showed it on the TSN highlights. Why didnt Dubs pound him, if he could have done it as easily as you say?

Here's the perspective from the Islander POV:

Comrie is a ****ing toilet.

Because of the score maybe? Just maybe.

Levelled? If you're just watching highlights and the play I'm thinking of, Comrie certainly didn't "level" him. It was a good hit on a player playing the puck and not ready for a hit. Comrie did make a couple of runs at him and had nothing to show for it.

No mistake about it, Comrie would go down in a fight against Dubi.

According to hockeyfights.com Dubinsky had 7 fights last season and 1 so far this season. Comrie on the other has 11 for his career. So I think its safe to say Dubi has no problem droping the mitts if need be. I will say however that I do not think he would take Comrie without a problem, I would think it would be close

Edit:
Dubi's fights:http://http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/1113

Had his clock cleaned by Luke Richardson early last season. He also took Mike Richards to a draw, before beating him cleanly on 10/11/08 this year. There were a few in-between, but nothing of significance. Decent middleweight.

Also, and I am NOT calling for this, but didn't Avery and Tucker get a fine or something from the league for pre-game nonsense? Just curious. Me personally I'm fine with this (as long as it doesnt go crazy, but this seemed harmless enough), but can anyone confirm or deny?

guys are you really trying to tell me you know what would happen when a couple of second line centers would drop the gloves (Drury's a third liner)? I mean why don't you tell me who's going to score more goals this year while your at it Fritz or Orr?

I was simply showing you that your statment about Dubi not dropping the gloves is false.

You obviously are not a Rangers fan - because we all know here that even though he's not a good fighter he does drop them. There have been times that he jumped in and I thought good God what is he thinking?? (RE: Luke Rich, RE Komaserik)

Granted he is getting better at it and needs to stick to his own weight class.

But others have already commented on that here in this thread.

PS: pretty sure Luke Richardson back in his rookie days got clocked pretty bad in his first NHL fight, thought he got a broken nose from it... sometimes that's how you learn!

You know - I never noticed.

Not at all pointing out the obvious that Dubi drops them and he didn't know... Especially since you fishstick fans frequent our board how could you not know he fought every now and then.

Not sayin....

No matter what happened, that was a classlass move by Comrie, who would be better suited playing roller hockey with his dainty toe drags.

Mike Comrie looks like a ******** bulldog, and his girlfriend looks like she stole her grandfather's dentures. Those are some screwed up veneers.

Dubi fought a couple times. Last year, I cant remember who was teaching him how to fight on your team...Maybe ORR. After they showed him practicing it the kid tried to start a couple fights right away. He held his own in a couple as well

Classless...understandable but you do not know what happened. So you should hold back the that until we know.

I wish both them fought last night. It would of been hilarious. I am glad this thread came up b/c i wanted to know what happened but I can imagine Dubi got under his skin and Comrie couldn't control himself.

Dubinsky is a decent middlewight, except he's listed at 210 lbs and is probably actually bigger than that. Which really kinda makes him a heavyweight who only picks his spots with smaller guys he can beat. Which really, when you think about it, isn't that many. Which means he should probably stick to scoring more than fighting. I remember when Richardson handed him his ass, and it wasn't pretty. I appreciate his willingness, but if you always pick your fights with smaller guys, you start to lose credibility instead of gaining it.
