What Are Our Lines?

Sorry guys, I haven't had a chance to watch the Lightning properly this year being in Europe and everything, so given that the first game I'll be able to see happens to be tonight I was wondering if someone could tell me what our lines look like most of the time, and who plays PP/PK.

Obviously we have the MVP line, but after that it gets a little hazy for me. I thought Stamkos would be the Center in the 2nd Line but the kid hardly plays at all.

And what about our D, what are the pairings there other than Ranger and Meszaros?

It just seems to me that we have so many players that my heads spinning half the time

Send a message via ICQ to Savi
Last night against Buffalo it was mostly something like this:

Prospal-Lecavalier-St Louis
Malone-Stamkos-Hall
Artukhin-Jokinen-Recchi
Roberts-Gratton-Pettinger

Ranger-Carle
Meszaros-Malik
Lundin-Krajicek

Kolzig
Smith

He's expected to be back when he's eligible to come back from IR.

Lines

Melrose will stick with the lines listed in the previous posts. I did notice that on the Power play, Arty went in with Vinny and St Louis. Arty was having an excellent night. Unfortunatly, Arty drew a penalty. Keep looking for thinks like this. Melrose will reward players with more ice time if they are hot that night.

It will take a couple games for Craig to get back into full-swing.

Not sure as to when Vrbata will be back.

Smith will start as the net minder unless there are back to back games. They need to keep Kolzig sharp.

Melrose said RW Radim Vrbata (groin) is about "95 percent."

What looked to be a "watch what he does in the corners" experiment turned out very well as Hall set up one of the goals with hard work. I actually really like him on this team, he's nothing flashy, special... but he will work his ass off every single shift. Good character guy, great pk'er.

Do you think Vrbata will jump of his bad start?

I hope so. He will probably be put back on the 3rd line when he returns and have to win his job back on the pp and the 2nd line with Malone and Stamkos.

With Niskala gone, the Lightning reduced its roster to 22, one under the limit, which allowed it to remove right wing Radim Vrbata from injured reserve. Vrbata, who said he hasn't felt any groin pain in several days, is in tonight's lineup against the Rangers. Coach Barry Melrose said Ryan Craig will be scratched, in part, to give his surgically repaired right knee a rest after two straight games.
