I remember that. We took a 3-0 lead into the third I believe, everyone was thinking shutout, then Zherdev and someone else scored and suddenly we were just trying to win the game, forget about the shutout.
That win ended the 6 game losing streak in what was part of a horrible second half that ultimately cost us a playoff spot.
I was over on the Edmonton board today seeing what they had to say about the game last night. Someone referred to their board as being bi-polar, and someone else nominated this board as being the most bi-polar board on HF. I'd like to toss the CBJ hat in the ring for that contest.
We have a Cliff jumping thread and we're only 13 games into the season when we turned over about 1/2 the roster in the offseason.
I do not think we will be as bad as we were against the ducks because first of all the jackets dont have the monster Giguere to block our 50 shots. Habs 4-2.
At last, another game is in sight. It was starting to feel like the off-season again. Hopefully we step onto the ice ready to play tomorrow and don't hang around after the opening faceoff again wondering what to do after a long rest period.
The Blue Jackets are certainly a beatable team as far as we are concerned, but if we don't get an early advantage, we may find ourselves having to work slightly harder for a win than previously expected. After watching the Jackets last night, they looked pretty good when they got the puck down low and did pretty well breaking out of their own zone after a turnover. With the way our Dmen have been pinching into the play this year, we will have to be careful as some of their forwards are real quick and they have some very talented players to go with them.
The aspect of the game I am looking forward to, is seeing how many of our forward lines play at or near their best. If the top 3 lines are all decent tomorrow then we should give them some real problems. Their D was running around a little last night against the Oilers and got burned at times. With the guys we have, if they play well, we should be able to get a number of favourable matchups against them, home ice or not. And if Mason is in goal again, then I think our scorers might have some joy against him tomorrow if he continues to look a bit shakey. He didn't get much help last night from his teammates until they started firing the goals in during the 3rd after putting him in a difficult position. If we can get to him early, it might set a tone for the game. I'm guessing we'll get at least one goal high glove on him tomorrow
Should be a good game, can't wait for it, it's been too long

We have people here jumping off cliffs in pre-season. No joke.
Are we gonna see Kostopoulos, Lapierre, Laraque for once?

"L'an dernier, je revenais d'une longue blessure. J'ai été de sept à huit mois sans patiner. De plus, je m'étais blessé à l'aine pendant le camp d'entraînement. Les choses se sont replacées par la suite, mais je me suis cassé la cheville. Présentement, les choses vont bien et je touche du bois", a affirmé le vétéran défenseur.

You gotta get the first goal on these guys. This team can suffocate you, and they will be top notch defensively as I'm sure that Hitch was less than impressed from their defensive showing against edmonton.
I expect a low scoring game... and first goal wins

They're not as tight as they were on defense anymore...they lost Foote and Hainsey, and their #1 goalie is injured. They are well equipped offensively and its our backup playing. Thus, I wouldn't bet on a low-score game.
Yes, you should have seen the puck bunnies in those days. Actually I had it confused with something else. The first ones were made from animal intestines.
