Boston in shanny sweepstakes?

On espn in the nhl section on rumor central, for today it says something like boston enters shanahan sweepstakes. can anyone say waht the article is? i dont have espn insider.

Idk if this would really happen, and not sure whos spot hed take, i guess it could be a plus or minus

he could add alot of grit to the team and hopefully make the powerplay better, yet hed probably take time away from the young guns.

I love that... Shanahan's services have now become "sweepstakes".

"sweepstakes"????

I wouldn't call it that... but still a few teams around the league could use the sniper on their squad.

According to Neely on the radio this morning the B's brass are more interested in getting some kids playing time than adding Shanny into the mix, especially where the B's have something like 5 rw's already.

Ungh, it's never ending.

We get a thread a week on the Bruins board, and we have to squash them over and over. His agent is a genius who is connected with the media...

Why would we want a 39 year old veteran who has lost his speed in place of a 6'5" 22 year old rookie who is on pace for 20 goals, and has gotten better at each stage of his development?

I know there are a lot of Shanny fans out there, but the last thing Boston needs is another forward.

Cheers.

I wouldn't say no if it meant the end of Axelsson, but it's not happening.

sweepstakes = getting suckered into accepting a free cruise to the bahamas and a 600 dollar gas voucher.

"Mr. Jacobs, we just need to verify your account, could you read your bank account number for verification purposes?"

exactly what I was going to say. Since when do out of shape, rapidly declining 40 year olds get classified as sweepstakes?

Can he play the Left side? If not, he's useless to the Bruins.

This will NEVER happen, Shanny will be looking for 1.3+M for the rest of the year, and the B's are barely 1.5 under...and they have already said they want some cap room for the deadline or whatever. Neely was on WAAF yesterday echoing these exact remarks...NEVER HAPPEN
