Did I say "start" with? No. Maybe you should try reading first. And whats wrong with it? Staal is gonna be a really good defenseman, definitely a top 4, possibly top 2 pairing. Dubinsky is a good player who will be a solid 2nd liner. These two guys for a superstar like Gaborik, hmmmm sounds pretty good to me. Sure he's gonna be a UFA, but knowing the Rangers and how they'll pay anyone anything *cough Drury, Gomez cough*, I'm sure you guys can end up signing him.
Let's hear your brilliant proposal for a guy like Gaborik then.
well in the future either Dubinsky or Staal will be the Rangers captain so they wont be going anywhere.
Adding Gaborik does nothing because he cant stay healthy, lets face it doesnt matter how good he is if he aint on the ice. and i agree with you on Drury i cringe when i think of his contract.
I dont have a proposal because i dont want him because HE CANT STAY HEALTHY
I think that's arguably the most garbage trade proposal I've seen for Gaborik yet.
By "conditional pick", you better mean Marc Staal and 3-1st rounders if you want that trade to come close.
That probably is the most garbage proposal for Gaborik that you've seen yet, but the 2nd part of your post is the most ridiculously stupid thing I've ever heard anyone expect to be offered for a UFA to be at season's end.

Lol I don't blame you honestly.
I wanted him on the Panthers for a while now because he's such an amazing player and so much fun to watch. But the more I thought about it, he is ALWAYS hurt and is too much of a gamble to give up good players on.
If he does get traded, it will be interesting to see what kind of return he brings in.
Let's hear your great proposal then, or are you too busy overpaying for players?
The Majority of Ranger fans don't want him because they've set their sights on a 50 goal scorer that hits UFA status in 2010 and can actually stay healthy.

What dream world are you living in?
Did you think I was serious man? ofcourse Staal and 3 1st rounders isn't realistic.
I was saying that to show him how far off his proposal was that I was trying to say that he has to add in a ton more to make it even. I didn't mean it to be read literally but apparently that didn't hit home with everyone..

I don't have a proposal because I don't think there is one needed. And I don't really think you're in the position to be taking shots at teams, ya hear little boy.

No position? lol. If there was no salary cap, EVERY player on your team would be making $10M. Did you hear that old man?
Wow, people need to lighten up and stop taking everything so personally. Either way, if I had to guess I'd say something like this could work:
to NYR: Marian Gaborik
to MIN: Brandon Dubinsky, 1st round pick or Michael Del Zotto
Minny will most likely want a guy who is young and can play in the league right now, as well as a future. Ideally they'd want a young, solid NHLer, a solid prospect, and a 1st round pick, but Dubi is good enough to eliminate one of either the 1st or prospect.
Whether or not the teams involved would make this deal is another story, but value wise I think it works.
Gaborik wants out of Minny and is a pending UFA, not to mention he is injury prone. His value is as low as it can be for such a dynamic player. Minnesota can't expect much back for him. Certainly not a Staal or Dubinsky. I don't think the Rangers have the right pieces that Minny would want in a trade. It wouldn't work out between these two teams.
