The habs were 3/7 on the PK. what Koivu did was atrocious. He left his position to cover another player; thus, ended in between the 2 for the cross ice pass and they scored.
Nobody says anything.
Markov being outskated by the "slow" antropov while he was backcheking.
Kovy was a turnover machine tonight. By far the worst top 6 forward.
My point was the Habs need another top 4 defenceman. With Breezy and O'Byrne both in the D looked like **** all night.
Breezy was not the worst player tonight, but I"m confident he won't disappoint in that regard later on.
Markov was slow because he played almost 27 minutes, which he normally doesn't do.
Hamrlik is far more valuable to this team, than I thought.
How about the hypocrisy of the PBP team? In the 1st Mtl-Tor game, they were whining about Carbo putting out his no.1 unit when the game was already won, and tonight they start going on about how Wilson should put his best PP unit out there in a 6-3 game.
Generally Simpson and Houghson (sp?) are pretty solid, but I really thought they were piss pour tonight.
Whatever though, the guys played like garbage and deserved to lose. Hopefully they smarten up and get their act together.
Did he turnover the puck like kovy did tonight. Worst game this year for him
He never had the damn puck....he was either getting burnt to the outside, pinching in and letting the other team get 2 on 1s, or just plain standing around like he usually does.
We were totally outplayed, we were soft, playing without passion..
I would kick Lantendresse's ass to Hamilton right of the bat.. Was unbelievable atrocious.. Bring a real big body that can skate in this league and have some kind of impact, MaxPac.. I know it wont happen, Im just that disgusted by Lats' play and lack of effort.. Next game Begin or Dandy in, Tender benched, I pray for..
I would make them skate like they never skated in the past tommorow morning.. Wait, Carbo should have do that right after this game..
Habs won't win the Cup with Breezer, O'B and Bou as two of the bottom 6. In fairness to Bou he does try hard and has average skill but is just too small with too short a reach to be effective down low. Bou should be the 7th, O'B should be in Hamilton, and Breezer should retire. Habs need 2 good, experienced, big (one a puck moving and the other a stay at home) D-men if they have serious desires of winning Lord Stanley this season. get 'er done Bob ...
This can't keep happening in our upcoming games. But last season we sucked in games against mediocre opponents and managed to trounce the good teams, so they could play true to form. I think being back home and suffering an ugly game might be what they need to handle the Sens. A little home cookin'! And man do we ever need some more defensive depth. Breezy is brutal for his experience and O'Byrne appears to have taken a step back. Is it the right time to give Weber a shot? Losing a guy like Valatenko hurts now too. And as for the fringe forwards, I am sure we will see Chipchura and Maxpac later on, if not in the lineup simulatenously. They cannot possibly be worse than Begin and Dandy have been, or even Lapierre.
