It doesn't have to be trapping. I just mean that that the D should be more aggressive against even rushes (2 on 2's, 1 on 2's etc.) They drop back too far and give the other team free reign of the zone. If they pressure the incoming rushes, it forces more offsides, missed passes and creates less shooting opportunites on the rush.

i agree, the D looks very passive on most play where the other team is skating in, i have to put some blame on the offensive players as well, this team has yet to really play as a 'team' so to speak...

A D-coach would only help so much, just as Carbo can only help so much from the bench. At some point, if you have 2-3 incompetent D on the ice, there will be problems, no matter who the coach is.

What we need is a head coach. Forget a D coach for now.

Wow there was a couple of reference to Carbo being the problem since our game in Toronto... did we realy fall that low? Are back in 1995-2006? We got our coach for many years, he's not the problem, the players are lazy, they pass the puck too much and they are shaky in their own end... two aspect of the game that the coach can't change. They need to start working.

Claude Julien.

Seriously though, why did Montreal and him part ways? Did he lose the players' attention/respect?

Robinson will not come to Montreal. That's been clear since the moment he left Montreal.

Time for us fans to get that through our skulls.
