FLA would probably take this no??? Unless they think they can fetch more for him, which they might. Horton, Weiss, Booth, Frolik, Matthias, Dubinsky

Thats some talent, could contend with the other super young uber teams, chi, st, pho, la, edm, wash

From a Rangers standpoint, we can't do it.

JayBo, Staal, Girardi, plus Sangs and DZ down the pipe, thats solid as can be, but we can't give up Dubinsky.

The Rangers DON'T need Bouwmeester. They DO need Dubinsky. Dubinsky isn't going anywhere. He has made huge strides since last year and he has become a top player, and a team leader. He is our first player since Adam Graves to combine skill, effort, and leadership. I know that Bouwmeester is a great player, but he is not as important to the Rangers as Dubinsky is.

That would also create a cap problem wouldnt it? The sens dont have the extra 3m+ in space. Bou is gonna want more then redden got thats for sure. 7.5 x 5-8 years im thinking.

If the Rangers can retain Zherdev, he and Dubinsky lit the world on fire so I doubt that the Rags trade Dubinsky. I'll just say this isn't going to happen.

I definitely don't see this happening. Eklund must still have some Vicodin left over from his surgery. This move makes little sense for the Rangers and as much as I love Dubinsky, until he becomes a consistent threat, he and Prucha won't net JayBo.

i dont understand why NYR would need jaybo. Redden and roczival already have pretty hefty contracts

True, but contracts aside, I'd take Bouwmeester over either of them any day of the week.

Wouldn't Florida want a d-man in return for Jaybo anyway?

Well speaking from an neutral standpoint, I can guarantee you that J-bo will net more than this in a trade.

There are a ton of teams who don't have a number 1 d-man and Jbo is young to boot. I am sure the Panthers will give teams a right to talk to J-bo and work out a long term contract for him, then they will get a huge offer for him.

If/when he becomes available I think teams will line up with huge offers.

If it were Rozsival or Redden instead of Prucha, it could work money wise but it would be way too much for Rangers to give up. And since this deal gives only one decent piece to Florida and puts us over the cap, it is a definite no. Why does Eklund have Cap numbers on his site if he doesn't bother to use them?

NO WAY

God i hate Eklund so much, he spouts nothing but ******** to all his followers and what makes it worse is they listen to it.

Why would the Rangers do this? trade a player who may have future captain written all over him for what ANOTHER D-man when we have Rozsival $5m Redden $6.8m tied up for the next 5 and 6 years? it makes no sense when you add that Staal and Girardi are RFA next season and both have to be re-signed. honestly this guy makes my blood boil.

Dubinsky isnt going anywhere, for **** sake he is 2nd in scoring on the team with 13pts and he has chemistry with Zherdev who leads the team with 14pts, what the Rangers need is someone who will put the puck in the net not another d-man who will command a contract of around $5-6m. Also its not like Jay Bouwmeester is playing great is it? dont get me wrong i'd love him in Rangers blue but not at the expense of Dubinsky or Staal. They are the future.

I cant believe some ****ing chump who gets his dog to pick tennis balls with team names on them gets me this irate.

Eklund so probably not even worth the time to consider this. Would absolutely hate to lose Dubinsky... only way I'd even consider it would be by including Rozsival+ to get Horton.

Dubinsky
Rozsival
Prucha
Pick/Prospect

JBo
Horton

Naslund- Gomez - Horton
Dawes - Drury - Zherdev
Voros - Korpikoski - Callahan
Sjostrom - Betts - Orr

Redden - JBo
Staal - Girardi
Kalinin - Mara

Not a chance in hell it's happening, but better to dream up far-fetched trades than continue reading cases.

Do people still not realize that Eklund is in no way saying this will happen, just that it may in discussion?

what does "labelin" mean? If you are referring to "Labeling" than yes, Brandon Dubinsky is untouchable, especially for a soon to be unrestricted free agent.

I agree with you, but I also don't see Dubinsky getting traded...at all. I believe, Glen Sather even said himself Dubinsky is untouchable.

Honestly, MOD's...I think you should rethink what constitutes a rumor because it seams Eklund just throws out random ideas that are just as proposterous as half the posts here. Please end this.
