I'll be happy if they don't make the Oiler goalie look like the second coming of Grant Fuhr.

The Devs made Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers look like Fuhr last night, so hopefully they're due for a bit of a let down.

Who will be in net for the Oliers tonight?

According to the Oilers board and blogs, it should be one of three goalies . I can't figure it out and it seems like no one knows for sure. Roloson seems to be the front runner.

Korpikoski called up to sit on the bench? Unlikely I'd say.

Devs has some really good chances at him, but just couldn't get anything through him, other than Parise's deflection.

I wasn't overly impressed by Edm either though. If the Rags keep up a steady forecheck and don't let up, I think this game should be won easily.

After Drury was assigned 3rd line. Just Dawes switched lines with Naslund (third instead of first with Gomez and Cally).

Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers... how on earth did the oilers fit that name on the back of a jersey?

Gotta watch out for their speed. And for the love of God, please keep Dustin Penner out of the crease....

I just don't want them letting anyone especially star players sneak right to the top of the slight for a perfect one timer.

It must give the commentators headaches every time he makes a save.

I wouldn't be suprised if Garon gets the nod;

Nah, they just call him Dee-Dee.

No problem, as long as there's no Dexter on the ice

3rd line of Korps-Drury-Fritsche? According to Sam, that could be the plan...

The Korpedo returns and Dawes sits

http://rangers.lohudblogs.com/2008/1...nd-dawes-sits/

Quote:
Tom Renney wouldn’t commit to it, but seeing how Nigel Dawes was still on the ice skating sprints while Lauri Korpikoski was already resting in the locker room, it’s safe to say The Korpedo will make his return tonight at Dawes’ expense.

The other scratch will be Petr Prucha, who will be replaced (again) by Dan Fritsche. Should all else remain the same, you could count on on a line of Korpikoski at left wing, Chris Druryat center, and Fritsche at right.

It took only four games for Korpikoski to work his way back after his demotion from Hartford. One of those games, on Saturday night, saw him scoring a hat trick; and if you combine that with the Rangers’ uneven performance in Washington on Saturday, the time was ripe for his return.

“I think I feel more comfortable with the puck now trying to make more offensive plays and get some scoring chances,” Korpikoski said. “You can see that already today.”

:::cough cough DAWES' cough cough::::

If he's here he might as well pick up the slack for the dead weight on the team and not just be an alternate with Prucha and Fritche. I don't feel like watching them give Edmonton THEIR turn at looking like the best defensive team in the league with the most unstoppable goalie.
