take out roy and weiss. and retool it. i would love to trade players for jaybo. but roy is too much of this teams chemistry. especially after loosing drury and briere.

we have a few players that could use a change of scenery.

Naw, you clearly don't understand buffalo's scheme. we go for a team full of charachter and players that do roles, instead of super stars. thats trading away to many character players for a potential superstar.

buffalo's deffense for the majority of games has done very well. upgrades to the defense will probably have to be made in the off season.

Nice try.

Let me know if you find some centers for the sabres on your way home from work.... maybe you could borrow them Ruff, because if you trade away Roy we might get a problem.

Horton would be Roy's replacement at center.

He is but I think FLA started to play him at C. No wonder he sucks this season.

I wouldn't trade Sekera for Bouwmeester straight up right now. It makes absoloutely no sense. We trade away a 22 year old defenseman who is averaging 22 minutes of ice time in his rookie debut so far, has 8 assists in 14 games, has a better +/-, and has only 6 PIM on the season so far. He has gotten progressively better ever year. Sekera has been Buffalo's best defenseman hands down so far this season.

Bouwmeester is 25, two years away from his pay day, and is not off to his most stellar start of his career. I am not trying to downgrade the value he has, but only stating that Sekera has a more than decent chance of equalling and possibly surpassing JayBo's potential in 3 years time when he is equal in age at 25. We will be able to keep him for another 5 years at least. While I would love to have JayBo, that is just one individual I wouldn't put in the puzzle to get him. There games are totally different.

I wouldn't trade Roy either. Roy had 81 points last year and can play even, PP and PK as well. He is off to a slower start, but he is locked up at a more than decent price.

As far as Horton goes, I could not see Florida trading him for anything at all unless someone offered him an offer sheet when his contracts up and drove his price through the roof. There is just to much value and upside in him.

I know reading this, some people would say that money isn't everything to all franchises. What they need to remember is that we fans of Buffalo have seen to many people walk away from here because we do not operate at that high end of the salary cap. There is no way they would pay bouwmeester when his contract is up.

If Buffalo wants to make this deal happen, they will probably want to clear out cap room first. Maybe Kotalik, Stafford and a prospect for J-bow and a pick.
