Haha hopefully not. Souray through his shoulder out last year fighting and we need him out on the ice. He has been playing like a Norris Candidate so far this year.

We don't have a Shelly on our team? Shelly is Sheldon Souray's nickname.

I think we're catching EDM at the wrong time. Hemsky (and the whole team for that matter) is starting to heat up

Ahh! I was thinking Jody Shelly (as he and Orr had a nice bout before).

My mistake.

I have no problem with Prucha and Dawes sitting. Both have been disappointments and others deserve to get the chance.

I agree with you but what has Fritsche done to earn his chance?

It's not really that he's earned a chance as much as both Prucha and Dawes have been useless and Renney really has no choice.

nothing. if we were to only dress forwards that have accomplished something this season, we'd be short a line or two.

So Korpikoski had success in Hartford on the wing while struggling at center while playing for the Rangers... yet he's back to playing center when he's called up. Err..

Hmm, guess Drury is taking Voros' spot with Z and Dubi? so the lines will look something like

naslund - gomez - cally
drury - dubi - z
voros - korp - fritsche
sjo - betts - orr

yes...this will be interesting.

I think squishy said Korp played at center for the game he scored the hat trick.

edit: it was Jarkko Immonen who stated this in the Wolf Pack thread.

It is a very winnable game. We need to play good defensively and net 3 goals. That first goal is a big one. Get on the board first and open the oilers up.

Good luck tonight, excited for the game.

Rangers shut down Hemsky and they win this game. Hemsky is basically the Oilers offense. He's decided in the last 4-5 games that since no one else will help him he's going to do it himself. 5 goals, 7 points in past 4 games, all highlight reel quality (although last nights he got lucky after a great deke).

Here is the breakdown:

Dawes hasn't done anything with the most games played.
Prucha hasn't done anything with a fair amount of games played.
Fritsche hasn't done anything with a minimal amount of games played.

There all interchangeable.. Whether you like Fritsche or not, he we get his share of games for as long as Prucha does if they both don't put the puck in the net.

Eh...I hope they put Fritsche at C and leave Korpedo on the Wing. Plus. I dont get why he is constantly trying to break up the best line thus far(Voros-Doobs-Z). Put Drury back with Gomer and Naslund and drop Cally to that 3rd line.

looking forward to see if drury can play well with dubi and zherdev.....if so then i wonder if this is a move to open up a center spot for sundin.....not saying im in favor of it, but it is possible....also good to see korpikoski back up

sundin or anisimov may be real possibilities with dawes and prucha not scoring....they may be traded.....also, drury needs to be put with a line and stay with them so they can make some chemistry

Give that man a cigar!

Naslund-Gomez-Callahan
Drury-Dubinsky-Zherdev
Voros-Korpikoski-Fritsche
Sjostrom-Betts-Orr

According to Sam's update at 6:30.
