I'm no frenchy. Well, you're right, i think Halak might stay for this season. Chipchura will be up, and Begin and Dandy are out. I even think Dagos or Pacioretty will be here this season, to replace Lats, who will be benched (see, im no frenchy).

Why fix something when it' doing well ? Lats shoud had stayed with Koivu and Tanguay, but on RW

Tanguay - Koivu - Latendresse (RW is his natural wing)

S.Kost - Plekanec - A.Kost (RW is his natural wing)
(the brothers have to play together)

Higgins - Lang - Kovalev ( Lang and Kovy might regain their magic touch together)

Kostopoulos - Lapierre - Laraque

Bégin

Markov-Komisarek

Hamrlik- Dandenault

Bouillon - Gorges

Brisebois
O'byrne

1.Tanguay-Koivu-AKost - Andrei needs the puck more.. On the ATAK line pleks and kovy never seem to pass it to him anymore.

2. Lats-Plekanec-Kovalev - Pretty good offensive line, if Lats would use his body more and crash the net, this could work.

3. Higgins-Lang-SKost - You got speed in Sergei and Higgins and a big body down the middle that can make space for them and control the puck.

4. Lapierre-Chipchura-Kosto/laraque - Call up chips please.. I dont know why hes still in Hamilton the guy can play and has good leadership. Trade Begin or Dandy for a pick.

Markov-Komi
Hammer-O'byrne
Bouillon-Gorges

Price/halak

I like the way you have put together the forward lines. But maybe it's just me, but the last player I want to see on the blue line is Dandy.

Most of the fowards lines you all proposed are intriguing and interesting, I just hope to see Carbo more proactive switching the lines when its obviously going nowhere..

Therefore, my 4th line would be Begin, Laps and Kosto. At least Begin hits and can play the PK. I know, he gets stupid penalties but...

If we're playing Philly or Boston, for sure BGL is in. But if we're playing TO, Begin should be in.
Agreed, right now BGL is garbage. Obviously he picks it up.

How if he can't skate to forecheck and grind?

Can Dandy be worse right now than Brisebois or O'Byrne ?

1) You can't just forget about those two issues though... if you could Bobby Ryan would be playing in Anaheim.
2) I'd rather see the kids get 20 minutes in Hamilton than 8-10 minutes in Montreal
3) Who kills penalties now?? You are taking out two of our best penalty killers.

Your 2nd line would never work, Kovalev is a set-up man, S. Kost's talent would be wasted with him, mind you i don't think Kovalev would ever want to play with Higgins. As much as it looks tempting to see what A.Kost could do as a RW with Tanguay and Koivu, the ATAK line is best to stay together for now

Grrr... didn't think someone else would pick my lines...

I see this as being the best way to make all lines threatening... right now there seems to be a drop from the Plekanec/Koivu lines to the Lang line.

Higgins-Plekanec-Andrei: This line worked great when it was together. Has a little bit of everything: scoring, passing, grittiness, defense... and all three can skate!

Latendresse-Koivu-Tanguay: Just let Koivu and Tanguay do what they've been doing since the beginning of the season. Have Lats throw some checks and get someone to yell at him so he'll actually go to the front of the net instead of trying to be pretty and match the skill level of his linemates.

Sergei-Lang-Kovalev: We know there used to be some Lang-Kovalev chemistry and the good games Sergei has had have involved his play with Lang, so maybe these three could put something together. It would be more of a playmaking line than a speed line, but they can all pass and shoot the puck quite well.

Don't mind the idea of putting the CAT line back together.

Lats - Pleks - Kovalev
S. Kost - Lang - A. Kost
Begin -Lapierre - Laraque/dandeneault as Kostopoulos is suspended for a bit.

Hmm, I wonder how this line would work out.

S.kost-Lang-Kovalev

Kinda scary defensively, but given the resulting lines, I'd be all for it.

Higgins-Plekanec-A.Kost
Lats-Koivu-Tanguay

How can I email Carbo again?

But we've seen little changes so far. I mean, right now we're winning games on talent alone. I think it's time to experiment.
