Mathieu Dandenault to replace Kostopolous in the lineup

Per TSN, just saw it on Sportscentre.

Habs are 7-0-1 with Dandenault in the lineup.
1-2-1 without him.

Clearly this is a good move.

#25 is the key to winning #25.

Begin is passed over again. And by Dandenault? Sorry but this is a crappy move by the coach.

Bégin has no skill. He has heart, but no skill and no brains. He always ends up getting stupid penalties like his 2+2 on the same play against the Sabres (2 years ago one of his dumb penalties cost us a playoff spot)

And last year his dumb penalty got us eliminated again.

That's quite an interesting stat actually. Maybe it means nothing, but wht does it mean if it does?

But lines one, two and three will be on fire, our defence will be solid and the goaltending stellar.

Dandenault is good to have around. He's a harder worker then most of the team he just doesn't have my skillset to help him out.

Crazy! It's like he's the anti-"brisebois of last year". Who knew?

Dandy will work his butt off and use his speed to complement Lapierre play.

Begin-Lapierre-Dandenault = Speedy Energy Line

PS: It's a coincidence they're all quebecois.

If our fourth line played regular fourth line minutes, this would be a non-issue...But they don't.

None of the 3 deserve to be playing 12 mins per game.

Clearly Dandenault is a priority amongst all UFA's with a record like that.

Who cares about Higgins vs Latendresse when Dandenault is there...

I wasn't big on Dandenault being part of the team at the start of the year, but I like what he's brought so far. I have no issue with him replacing Kostopoulos in the lineup.

Also, given Hamrlik's shoulder, it might be a good idea to dress an extra player who can play defense, if need be, just in case Hamrlik needs to leave the game again. Carbo's no dummy - he doesn't want to have to play Brisebois or O'Byrne 20 minutes against the Sens offence.

No matter who's playing, on a bang for the buck basis, the Habs have one of the worst fourth line in the league.

Reminds me of when the Habs never won without Markov.

If the guy's good luck, he's good luck.

But I'm more concerned on Hamrlik's status for tonight

As much as I love bashing Dandenault.....I would try him in the back end once in a while. Won't be worse than both Brisebois and O'Byrne defensively even if he didn't play there for a long time now.

Let's play O'Byrne in front..... (It's a joke....just in case.....)

Maybe that he's not on the team only because Gainey can't get rid of him.
Probably just a coincidence though.
