Prospect Park Rumor (Mitch Gaulton close to return)

This is in the prospect thread but I think it could affect the entire team.

Quote:
We have it on very good authority that the ranks of the Ranger prospects are about to be increased by one. We are not at liberty to announce his name just yet but we have to admit that we really are happy to hear about this news.

When the official announcement is made this week, Ranger fans we are very sure will be as happy about the news as we are.

That's all I can think about and hope about.

Please be Ryan..that'd be awesome.

If it though, you'd have to think AA or Sangs is going the other way.

Why is he so coveted? Anywhere I can see some highlight videos or some scouting reports?

He was the 2nd pick behind Crosby in the 2005 draft, he has a TON of skill, and is exactly what this team needs.

Blake Geoffrion? To complete the Jessiman trade? I have no idea, just throwing things out there....

The article says this:

It is not very often when we get excited about adding another prospect but this one is special as if there was anyone who Ranger fans will adopt instantly it will be this young man.

This is the true feel good story of the season and we will be very happy to bring it you once we get the OK to do so.

Not sure Ryan would be a "feel good story".

I know he isn't a prospect per say, but Radulov? i mean he isn't going back to Nashville and we do have future considerations. so maybe its we get Radulov and if we can get him to play or resign here than we give up a first rounder? Just dreamin I know, but it would be a nice dream.

Yea, your right.

Hmm, I have no idea then. I guess its just an unsigned prospect.

I hope it doesnt turn out to be BILLY Ryan our unsigned pick.

Lyon Messier would be big news?

I'll stick with Geoffrion. We have to get something for Jessiman and Blake is a teammate of - Derek Stepan at Wisconsin

-About Bobby Ryan

Wow. I see. seems like he brings the grit the Rangers need to make teams think twice before going over the middle and the scoring ability we are in desperate need for. Why would the ducks give him up? What would we give up. I saw a trade proposal with Sanguetti, 1st and Dawes? That sounds like A LOT to give up for him. I like Dawes a lot. Although this slump he is in is killing me.

from hockeysfuture.com
"He needs to prove he is up to the challenge and ready to make a name for himself, other then just being the guy drafted after Sidney"

well if we want to speculate it is Ryan, then maybe the feel good part would be something about how he is a local boy who grew up idolizing the Rangers?

I suppose you could acquire a prospect by giving up picks and not sending away other prospects, but I suppose the likely candidate is Messier.

Not as exciting as a high-profile guy like Ryan, etc, but an interesting story.
