What if Atlanta will take Gerbers salary. Is it that you don't want Theo?

Ottawa would be better off just keeping Vermette and having Auld be their starter then adding a waste like Theodore. Isn't he the backup now in Washington? Every time i see them play he's not starting.

If you want Lehtonen give up your own young roster player. Ottawa's not gonna do it for you. Counter:

To Ott:
Lehtonen

To Atl:
Theodore
Ott 1st
Laich

To Was:
Gerber

Don't dump that awful Theodore contract on Atlanta, please.

The Caps as well say no. It won't be worth it to McPhee to trade Gustaffson and a 1st rounder to unload Theodore.

really, this makes no sense.

1. The Caps and Thrash are not to trade with each other.
2. Lehtonen is going somewhere that is desperate for long term goaltending.
The Capitals have Brent Johnson in the top 5 in GAA and SV% and two of the brightest young goalie prospects in the minors.

If Theodore AND Johnson are both stinking it up and dragging the team down, they would be looking for no more than a short term fix. Gerber is no better than Theo and Lehtonen is a long term commodity.

Next?

Why not just keep out Washington? (Let me guess, you're a Caps fan?)

To Atlanta:
Gerber, Vermette, Ottawa's 1st 2009

To Ottawa:
Lehtonen

Because the Thrashers motivation behind moving Lehtonen would be they would want Pavelec to start, and they have Hedberg signed for another year. They would not want or need a goalie coming back for Lehtonen.

If you want to get Lehtonen and move Gerber, a 3rd team has to be involved.

Because you loves us?

ED- I can't take any Wash trades seriously unless it involves us giving away Alex Semin.

I'm not sure I want to deal for a goalie anyway until Auld proves that his current 1.84 GAA and .936 SV% is a fluke of some kind.

OH WOW!! Theodore and Gerber and Auld all on the same team. It's like a mediocre goaltender party

Mediocre? That's a compliment for Theodore and Gerber.

Sens get fleeced. They give up Vermette for a goalie who one could argue is just as good as Gerber

and besides, a Theodore-Gerber tandem?
