I would hate to have Halak traded for Clark. Why do these keep popping up? Halak, two 1st's and Higgins for anyone....please, just make these rumours go away. We'll even take anyones 4th line for this trade....just make it all stop.

If they give us Stoa with Clark, then maybe.

Has Clark fallen way off? Of the games I watched last year (Col vs Van), he was pretty darn good. Anyone have better insight?

F that. No way I want Clark or Stoa for Halak.

But we can't fit it in our cap anyway so I don't see it happening.

I doesn't really matter how good he is, unless Bouillon is going the other way or he can play on the right side, cause he's a LD and we can't fit him under the cap

Didn't we already have Clark years ago?

Isn't Clark a RD who shoots left? That fits the profile exactly for the needed D.

That said, I have no interest in a Halak/Clark swap.

I remember watching Clark and Guite come to think of it.

Ohlund > Sutton, I agree. The price would not be the same, though.

you are thinking of a different Clark. This Clark is pretty decent from what I know of him - i.e. better than Finger, haha.

Still, I think we should keep Halak, unless the return is a lot better.

long story short the entire Colorado defense corps save leopold has been playing terribly most of the year, we'll see if they decide to pick up.

It was just some rumor that some reporter in Denver heard. Hardly anything really legit...

http://blogs.denverpost.com/avs/2008...rk-scuttlebut/

And the Andy Sutton love some of you have going right now makes no sense. None. The guy is a brutal defenceman (just watch the comeback on November 1st) with a ridiculous contract. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.

1...Clark sucks, and at 3M, he doesn't even fit under our cap. I doubt we want to make room for him.

2...Halak is not going anywhere unless we get a considerable back up in return.

A fringe defenseman at 3.5 million...I don't quite think so. Didn't we have Clark before...he wasn't much

Brett Clark, this was a peanut move so who knows ?

Prior to playing in the NHL, Clark played for the University of Maine. He was drafted 154th overall in the 1996 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He joined the Canadians for his NHL debut in 1997, splitting the season between the NHL and the Canadiens American Hockey League affiliate, the Fredericton Canadiens. On June 25, 1999, Clark was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the NHL expansion draft. He played 44 games over three seasons in Atlanta then was traded to the Colorado Avalanche on January 24, 2002. In 2007, Clark played his 300th career NHL game. Most recently, in February of 2008, he dislocated his shoulder and was out for the rest of the season.
