Question about Crosby

I was wondering if you guys can answer my Quesiton. My son wants a puck signed by Sydney Crosby. His cousin who is Canadian and plays hockey in Vancouver is always telling him stories about Crosby . Now that he will be here, he wants a puck signed. Is he allowed to sign stuff . I am pretty sure he wont sign anything with a Kings logo. Might be a stupid question but I promised my son an answer
Thanks

I havent attend a camp yet but I was told that if you can catch the players leaving the facility. One of the other posters might be able to give you more information or a location to hangout. Good luck.

He can sign stuff. Just give him a puck with no logo to sign. If you ask around It's usually not that hard to find out where the players leave after they are done for the day. Crosby is used to signing stuff so It shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know for sure. Maybe try a silver color sharpie pen on a regular black puck.

Last year we were there really early and some of the players were walking around. I watched Gleason and Smithson walk in. If you are there Early enough or late enough.

Exactly, get there really early or hang around and you can catch them in the parking lot

Why would it be wrong for Crosby to sign a King's puck? I don't see the harm in it.

One possible reason why he wont sign anything from the NHL is because its big bucks. Yes you and I might be fans who want a autograph but some of the others will sell it.

I think the best bet would be to get there early. I'm pretty sure they have the players park behind the gates (where the Lakers park). Last year, I saw Miller & Deadmarsh in their cars going into the gate, and they took a couple minutes to sign things from their cars. After the camp, it may get ridiculous with the amount of fans...

Also, from what I hear, it's less crowded when they have the drills during the weekdays..

I think some players have agreements (contracts, I guess ) that says they can't sign certain things. I remember when Radek Bonk was in Las Vegas he couldn't sign certain cards (certain insert cards and other team's memorabilia.) I tried on several different occasions, so it wasn't like he was BSing me because he didn't feel like it that day or whatever. One of his teammates also explained to me how he had a specific agreement that he couldn't sign certain things, (as Radek's English wasn't great at the time and he had a lot of hype around him) this was before he was drafted, so I'm not too sure on specifics, but I just remember thinking it was kind of weird that a player couldn't sign something.

Anyways, good luck to your son!

If you want Crosby to sign something, ask early -- last year at the WJC camp in Kitchener, he'd sign a few things and then his agent/manager/handler/whatever you'd like to call him would step in and pull him away. Good Luck to your son!

During Gretzky's playing days. Or well the one time I went to an autograph signing of his when he was playing his Agreement with Upper Deck didn't allow him to sign any hockey cards.
