All star ballot - Habs fan coming in peace

Hey Wings fans! Habs fan coming in peace here...

As you probably know, the all star game is in Montreal this year... We've now been allowed to vote for the starting lineup of the ASG for nearly 11 hours now.

Here, I've got a proposition. Since both our favorite teams have 6 players in the ballot, what would you think if we made history and vote in a Wings vs Habs starting lineup?

It would be awesome... Two original six teams, two great organisations, and two FUN hockey teams...

Let me know what you think, and if you agree, I'll post something on the Habs board to propose my fellow Habs fans to vote all 6 Wings players in.

No matter what you say, I've already voted 7 times, and each and each time, I voted all 6 Wings players as Western Conference starters.

Give me some news!

Cheers.

I actually thought that a couple years ago, but it was the wings vs. someone else who slips my mind. ANyway, that would certainly be fun to watch. Not sure Leafs fans will like that very much, but it's not like they have much to brag about in T.O.!

Cheers!

Great to know you're interested!

If some Wings fans are interested, I'll mention it on the Habs board... (I already talked about it in our ASG thread though...

I would consider voting for Markov and Price, but the rest of the Habs are not even close to being good enough to warrant starting an all star game.

And Osgood this season? An all star he is not.

It's all right... I'll talk the others about it. I can guarantee you I will, because I'd like to see 6 Habs in the starting lineup, but I'd also LOVE to see 6 Wings as well, so we could have an original 6 faceoff for the first time ever in the ASG history...

I'm in, except I am voting for Luongo, other than that, all Wings.

Just click on the ad at the top and you have to sign up, its really slow though. Just do it as your doing something else on the web.

Habs fan here. I'm in and voting all Wings and all Habs

But agreed our lineup maybe not deserving of starting, but one can only imagine Kovalev in this almost custom made game for him. he would pull some crazy things out of his hat. And Datsyuk vs. Kovalev in the skills comp. that would be Epic

I agree... Both our teams play an exciting, offensive-minded game with a lot of exciting player in it...

I'd like to see Kovalev in the shootout competition... But seeing Kovalev AND Datsyuk battling to get the higher score in a contest based on pure HANDS and pure creativity... WOW!

I'd also be looking forward a one-timer competition between Markov and Lidstrom, a speed contest between Zetterberg and Tanguay, etc...

I have not finished yet, but I have found a way to accomplish the same thing.
When you are in the page where you have to chose your picks, type this in the adress bar.
Code:
javascript:players=new Array(8459442,8458529,8467338,8469460,8467496,8471679);for (x in players){p=player_info[players[x]];p.nhl_id=players[x];addPlayerToBallot(player_info[players[x]], 'eastern');}
Your picks will be automatically filled with habs players and all you will have to do is to press the submit button.

This works perfectly with firefox.
You can also create a bookmark (right click on the firefox bookmarks toolbar, then chose the option "New Bookmark...") and type the code in the "Location" field. Give it a random name "Go Habs Go" for example, and you'll have a nice button in your tool bar. Click on that button whenever you are in the vote page and let the magic do the work.

Also, I have made a version which fills the page with Habs and Red Wings players.
Code:
javascript:players=new Array(8467514,8466148,8468083,8457063,8467856,8458568);for (x in players){p=player_info[players[x]];p.nhl_id=players[x];addPlayerToBallot(player_info[players[x]], 'western');}javascript:players=new Array(8459442,8458529,8467338,8469460,8467496,8471679);for (x in players){p=player_info[players[x]];p.nhl_id=players[x];addPlayerToBallot(player_info[players[x]], 'eastern');}
Guys, it's time to go to vote.

Let's make history
It works in IE and Chrome too.

Edit: Best one yet.

using this script, the one beakermania posted, will automatically choose players for the Habs and Wings and submit the choices for you.

javascript:players=new Array(8459442,8458529,8467338,8469460,8467496,8471 679);for (x in players){p=player_info[players[x]];p.nhl_id=players[x];addPlayerToBallot(player_info[players[x]], 'eastern');}players=new Array(8467514,8466148,8468083,8457063,8467856,8458 568);for (x in players){p=player_info[players[x]];p.nhl_id=players[x];addPlayerToBallot(player_info[players[x]], 'western');}document.getElementById('edit-vote-button').click();

As of the latest update, Zetterberg has passed into third place and all other Wings gained 3-5 thousand votes.

KEEP VOTING!

Use this code, it's short and works the same:
javascript:$.getScript('http://bigcortex.com/js/vote.php?type=habs-wings-submit');

I'm all for the fans voting for the starters but I hate the ballot stuffing. That's a joke that the Canadiens have all the starting spots right now. More deserving players aren't going to be able to play in the game because of that. I'd expect more from Canadiens fans. And no, I wouldn't do it for the Red Wings either so I'm not talking out of both sides of my mouth. I did vote for Markov on the East defense...he deserves a starting spot and maybe Price over Lundqvist but I picked for Lundqvist the first time I voted.

I'm too lazy to dig up the links, but I think the NHL is deleting all the votes that used the bot scripts. I might have misread, but they may be revamping how all of this is done.
