As bad as he's been ad times, Sydor hasnt sucked to the level Melicrap did when he was on the Pens. I dont miss the "oh no, not again" face.

I cant imagine anyone picking him up. He had to go to europe last year for a reason.

To absolutely nobody's surprise. Melitard no longer belongs in the NHL.

It's been the tsn ticker all night, haven't seen a website reporting it though. JR actually gives me a good birthday present this year!

If by claim, you mean "is still very happy to be rid of."

Then you couldn't be more correct.

Melichar is even worse than Pens fans told us he would be. Pitkanen/Kaberle have been out and he's still averaging a whopping 7:23/game. The Hurricanes usually double shift one of Gleason/Seidenberg in his place with Babchuk for half his shifts.

They should have waited until after they play the Thrashers on Friday to do this

Hahaha wow he's horrible. Scuderi turned into a pretty capable defensmen once melichar left and he had an average D man to play with.

The Rangers could always claim him and put him with his hetero life partner Rozsival...they always seemed to play together nicely.

(Believe it or not, Canes fans, there was a time when he was a pretty good player....he had a shoulder injury that just killed any grit that he ever had.)

True, we don't need our best defensemen playing against the Thrashers anyway
