Knock off the personal stuff. The thread is about the All Star game.

Visitors are allowed to post on other team boards-- as long as they are civil. The comments telling people to leave are not welcome, and neither are the personal attacks and other generalizations about fan bases-- in either direction.

I think it's pretty dissapointing if actual Habs fans aren't voting for all 6 of our guys. Get off your "expert analysist armchair" and vote for our guys. Who cares if you think Kovalev is having a so, so year or if Komisarek isn't a highly skilled offensive defencemen. The league made it so we have 6 guys to vote for casue they too probably think it'd be really special if we could have an all Habs starting lineup in Montreal in their centenial year. Vote for OUR guys.

This is just an honest question (don't bash me):

Would you support this reasoning if the Leafs or Bruins did the same thing in their centennial years (not because they are rivals, but because they are the second and third oldest teams).

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't care. I don't even care now, it would just be a nice tribute to the fans.

Dunno if you guys saw that but some Bruins fan came to our board begging us to vote for Thomas. Because he did that, I'll vote as much as I can for Price (I wanted to vote for Fleury but meh, I hate Thomas).

Are they making this only because they don't want Price in the All-Star Game?

That web site was set up because Thomas wasn't on the ballot, despite having the best stats in the League.

Is that realy an honest question? Will anyone except some western hockey fans or Habs fans support this reasonning for this centennial year? I think his thoughts were aimed at Habs fans, since this board is for debating the Montréal's Canadiens. I dont excpect any but us to vote for Montreal players.

Then, even though i don't think your question is honnest, i will answer it honnestly: No, i would only vote for Hab's players or Quebec born players, therefore if a Quebec star is in your line-up, i might vote for him, but it would have nothing to do with the Bruin's centennial or the Leaf's centennial.

Wings fans and Habs fans form an alliance

Some Wings fans from the Wings board have agreed to vote for the 6 Habs player as starters for the ASG, and in exchange, we'd vote for their 6 players to be starters as well...

Think about it... An original 6 matchup for the ASG... All Wings vs All Habs... It would be awesome...

Let's make it even more interesting by voting-in 6 Wings players against 6 Habs players for the starting lineup!

If the game is held in their city; why not??

The all-star game has no credibility as it is.... Its about who the fans want to see, not about who is the best player that season. I mean if it was about who is the best player that season, Scott Niedermayer wouldn't have played last year.

Yeah I would actually. Would I like an all Leafs starting lineup as a Habs fan? Definately not but if I were a Leafs fan and I had the opportunity to vote for 6 of my guys for the starting lineup yes I'd do it. I just think the league gave this to us. Did we really need/deserve 6 guys on the ballot? Probably not but they gave it to us and I think they did it for a reason. That reason being for us as Habs fans to vote them all in.
