The NHL should just stop the charade and name an All-Habs starting lineup. Heck, they should have done it right from the beginning.

No offense boys, but this is a FARCE.

The facebook email group telling Hab fans to vote in all 6 Habs just went out. Maybe Habs fans flocked to the site and broke it. Figures the NHL would have a crappy site that can't handle Web traffic.

Well, isn't what we're doing the best way to make the NHL realize it?

(and btw, wasn't it the Sabres who got 3-4 guys in the starting line-up 2 years ago? Was it a farce then?)

Take your bitterness elsewhere. No Sabre would have started under any circumstances.

i picked all Detroit players & Montreal players

The below vote count includes 4th forward, 3rd defenceman, and 2nd goalie on purpose to show the gap

Current Leaders after my vote:

Western Conference Top 4 Forwards: Ribeiro 16990, Morrow 15974, Koivu 15866 Zetterberg 12996
Eastern Conference Top 4 Forwards: Koivu 36744 Tanguay 34575 Kovalev 34140 Semin 17455
Western Conference Defencemen: Listrom 18624 Phaneuf 11821 Robidas 10891
Eastern Conference Defencemen: Markov 39162 Komisarek 36415 Chara 14920
Western Conference Goalie: Luongo 18432 Turco 11709
Eastern Conference Goalie: Price 42274 Thomas 12591

Edit: Just noticed someone saying its a farce...yes it is but as long as they allow me to vote i will vote for who i want to see play in the all-star game...and that happens to be Habs players

Why so serious, son?

Why is it so wrong for fans to vote for the players they want to see?

It's a game for the fans, or else there wouldn't be a fan ballot. If Bruins fan vote for their players, like Ward for example, all power to them. All it means they rather see Ward than say Markov is an Exhibition game and Skills competition. It's a popularity contest, there's no science to it. All for fun.

You are a Sabre fan, so do you vote for Sabre players? If so, you can't say anything to a habs fan for voting for habs players, its just our fan base is so huge so this is what happens.

Well one, it's very early in the balloting.

Rory Fitzpatrick had a whole movement behind him and led at one point but didn't make it (insert conspiracy theory here).

As for why it hasn't happened before, Montreal has a huge fanbase and I believe one of the highest percentage of internet-connected people in the world. The fans also know that having them as the starting lineup in Montreal would be huge for the city. See Montreal as boardwalk on the monopoly board for another example of Montrealers stuffing internet ballot boxes on the basis of pride.

So while it may be tough, it is possible...

We must be vigilant. It's very early and a lot of the regular fanbase who will be voting for the Crosbys and Ovechkins haven't spoken yet.

Not to mention grassroot movements to get other teams' scrubs into the game.

In other words... Clear your calendars for the next month and a half.

I voted all Wings a few times. All Habs vs all Wings/Star would be awesome.

Maybe they should let the GM's vote for the players then.

They didn't get it when we voted Rory Fitzpatrick in so this year they will play the Price.

Come on, I've done it a few times now. Where's that dude with the auto pick extension for FF?

Think we can get him to over 2 million? Can we get all Habs over 2 million?

Prediction: the Western Conference players whose names begin with A or B will do surprisingly well in this All Star Balloting too.

Anyone notice that 3 of the top 4 vote getters for forwards in the east have Alex as their first name.
