Not going to deny that there's a rivalry there, but it's a pretty ridiculous one seeing as Boston hasn't won a game vs Montreal in like, 2 years.
For ****'s sake Bruins...Grow a pair and actually win a game against Montreal. They fancy themselves so tough but how tough can they be when they can't even win a game against us? It's pathetic.
But Murph, it's always a pleasure. You're one of the good ones.

Yeah, lets forget those three games you guys got owned in the playoffs last year lol.

ok,done. owned you say ? I find it more like the pretty girl that dances with you at the high school dance because she saw you crying, but then you re-pay her by bragging about it.

lol nice analogy, though partly misplaced. The only part that fits here is the part where you equate the pretty girl with the habs. Your words not mine. Anyways, you can see the tide turning in this rivalry. You guys barely beat us on opening night, not to mention we outplayed you guys for most of that playoff series.
Lest we forget the 90's. The Bruins seemingly had our number then. Fortunately that's pretty much ancient history and the Bruins have been showing unmatched futility vs. us for quite awhile now. HF boards and a quick rip through the Bruins forum is all i need to get primed for this game. It's been a bit of an up and down rivalry, but the Bruins fans have certainly kept it relevant when their team has fallen short.
Thanks for keeping it interesting B's fans, I guess.

Could have been a different story had their not been a couple of momentum changing penalties handed out. I know it looked to me like the flood gates almost opened there.

I wouldn't bring up that 1st game. The boards won't help you tie with 30 seconds left in the game tonight.

Haha yeah ok...Brag about the playoffs? Really? Your "super tough" team somehow folded completely in the single most important game of their season...You couldn't even score one goal. What's to brag about there?
Pretty bad when you have to cling to "the tide is turning" to justify your team losing, what is it now, 11 straight regular season games and 3 playoff series'? I've lost count.

Well, the Bruins outplayed... no. Uh, Thomas is underrated... no. Lucic was a force that nigh... no. Hmm, what can a B's fan brag about from that game....
what Boston fans dont seem to understand is, they dont ask you "HOW did you win?"
They simply ask "DID you win?"
and for a while, the only answer they can give is "no!"
Now they will say, "we owned you in 3 games during the playoff"
to that I say, good for you, to win a series, you need to own 4 games, not 3, you lose!
The amount of bickering and trolling between our two teams is gawd-awful. We can argue all day about completely irrelevant details that support one side or the other, but there is never- and never will be- any progress made against the other side.
I say we leave it up to the players on the ice for the time being, 'eh?
