Geez, everything everyone says about Hodgson is also true about Wilson. I haven't seen a whole lot of Hodgson, but he seems almost like the CHL equivalent of Wilson. Because Wilson is big, tough, hard-nosed, smart, talented, great offensively and defensively, can score goals, set them up, be counted on as a leader, good at face-offs, good in traffic, on the PP, PK, in the corners, around the net, he can do everything. His only real weakness has been skating, but he's even improved that this year.
What he's doing as a sophomore is very impressive and when it comes to these two, it's not an easy decision. What I will say is Wilson is out of place in the NCAA this year, he belongs in the pros. He'll be in the NHL next year, that's a sure bet.
i would have drafted Wilson ahead of Hodgson 10 times out of 10. He'll be the 3rd best forward of this draft behind Stamkos & Filatov.
He better be. It be dissapointing for him, if he doesent. He was the 3rd foward drafted in this years draft. It will be embarrasing for him if someone like Hodgson becomes better then him.

No it wouldn't be embarassing. Lots of first round picks end up being the 5th or 6th or even LOWER draft pick. It's only normal. Some 5th, 6th round picks may end up being better than Wilson.
theres a panel on the right side scroll down to the nov 2nd highlites were quelf play Brampton.
Cody Hodgson have every skillselt of the game.
He can score goals by wrist shots, slap, snap shots(some players cant)
He can run a powerplay down low or as a pointman, he can slap it like a point man, and he was earlier suspended due to fight. The guy is insane.
How is Wilson doing? I remember alot of Canuck fans were happy to draft him too.
He surely doesn't look as slow as everyone seems to say he is on his 3rd goal
Wilson is playing in the NCAA where the age of players range from 18 to 22 on average as opposed to the OHL where the age ranges from 16 to 20.
However, one can also argue the level of quality players and competitiveness of the CHL leagues over the NCAA (possibly through percentage of drafted players and the quality picks of players between age 17-19).
Both are stellar prospects with long NHL careers ahead of them. Only picked Hodgson cause hes a Canuck; I'd be stoked to have either player in our system.
Colin Wilson, he's playing against young men, not teenagers
You have a point but that argument doesn't always work. While players may be older in the NCAA, that doesn't mean they're necessarily more talented than players in the CHL. It does mean that physically they may be more mature.
What it means is the NCAA being an older league doesn't mean it's a more difficult league. There are more first round talents toiling in the OHL than the NCAA. Playing against mature yet arguably less talented players in the NCAA versus playing against more possible future NHL talents in the OHL makes the distinction between which league is harder to play in difficult to discern.
Well chl players tend to come oout better... look at voracek, gagner, etc etc.
Now look at okposO?
Generally -playing in the ohl ur playing agasint guys that will be drafted in the nhl. In the NCAA however is just men taking hockey while taking school... most of em are NOT drafted.

I think the best teams in college are clearly better. Colin Wilson's team this year has thirteen drafted players on it.
Hodgson's team has three drafted players and about 12 other guys who are 18-19 there were not drafted.
