Robert Müller - Brain Tumor ? :-(

I just found this: http://www.sport1.de/de/sport/artikel_587767.html

I can only hope this isn't too serious.

Robert Mueller was indeed diagnosed with a brain tumour. It was cancerous in a bad way, and they could only remove part of the tumour. They will treat him with chemo- and radium therapy now. As of now, Robert Mueller's season is over and go direct into treatment.

Keep your chin up, Robert, I know if there is one in making it, it's you!!!

Unfortunately, Robert Mueller has to go under the knife again as the brain tumour has increased in size in the recent weeks. The doctor who performed also the last surgery will also perform the surgery on Monday (august 18) in Heidelberg.

No more information available as of now as the Koelner Haie have asked the media and the public to respect the privacy of Robert Mueller and his family,

Unfortunately there are bad news regarding Robert Mueller. I don't know if it has been mentioned in some other thread, but according to German media there is almost no hope for Robert to survive. He has already survived longer than most people with his condition and it is most likely he will not survive another year. According to the doctors only 3% of the patients live more than 5 years with this condition.

For those of you who understand German:

I'm just too sad right now to keep writing.

Yep, it's a glioblastoma that can't be cured

All my thoughts are with him and his young family. He is such a strong guy!

It breaks my heart. I hope he gets to play again.
I respect the Haie for not telling him that they don't want him to in case he suffers an epileptic seizure on the ice.

Go Robert!

Hoping some kind of miracle happens. At the very least I'd like to see him reach his goal and get back on the ice.

He will serve as the Sharks' back-up tomorrow, cause Stefan Horneber is injured. And according to a local newspaper, he expects to be ready to play again at the end of November/ beginning of December.

Not much really.

He got elected to the German hockey Hall of Fame, he also got a special award from Bavarian television, which he had to accept at home, because he was too weakened to go in public. In fact, his wife didn't want him to accept it personally at all.

There is no official word on his condition, though those who saw the report of him accepting the award said that he looked extremely tired and that it was shocking to see. He said that he has trouble keeping his balance and that he's worn out. Apart from that, he will spend this summer with his family in his hometown, that's all we got really.

Still, he isn't complaining; a truly amazing human.
