*Ahem* - sorry for the intrusion....

Waiving a "seasoned NHLer" (i use that term loosely here) Kukkonen, and then having him play a game the same day? Isn't that..........odd ? I can see it with young guys who know their season is gonna be spent riding the farm team bus.... but this guy is getting the slip and now plopped in the lineup before the bon voyage? Can't say I've seen that before....

PBP from tonights game...
"....30 seconds to go....Kukkonen takes the puck from the boards, circles his own net for the breakout.. and he snaps around and rockets it past Niitymakki........oh and whats this, he jumps back to the bench and .. he's knocked out Stevens....."

Unless I missed the joke part of that him being in the lineup ..

If this actually happened, I would cheer.

i'd buy a kukkonen jersey.

it'd be dirt cheap, too, making it even better.

Happened last year with Jim Dowd too. Dowd played his best hockey after being waived.

What if he gets picked up by someone during the game? Or is that against CBA rules?

I think the way it is set up is, teams have time until 12pm ET tomorrow to put in a claim or he clears.... after that it will be released if he was claimed or if he cleared.

I despise Alberts. He's good for about 3 boneheaded plays per game.

Took them long enough. When can we do the same with Alberts?

****ing great! I'm unsure if you can mishandle a guy more than the Flyers (or Stevens) did with Kukks.

Why can't Pat Gillick be our GM?

More like clearing room for Randy Jones, he doesn't count against our cap right now, and we need to clear about 2 million so he can come back.

I really don't get why Kukks gets waived instead of Alberts. Kukks is a better player and he costs less. I really don't care about embarrassment. Everybody in the entire league already knew we only brought in Alberts to patch up the hole in the Defense while Jones and Parent are gone.

What are the odds of Alberts getting waived once Parent is on the horizon?

I don't know if Alberts gets waived. If they really need to clear salary and roster spots, the more likely options are Sbisa to junior and Parent to the AHL. But I'm hoping they don't want to keep Alberts. He's terrible and costs far too much.

sbisa to juniors and parent to the A is just dumb. just plain dumb. there's no excuse, not even the flyers being too proud. if you sacrifice those to for andrew ****ing alberts you're ****ed anyway, and that's the mistake people will remember. not getting some piece of **** and waiving him for players who will contribute more and get valuable time in for their own development which will make them contribute even more in the future.

gahhh this team's effed sometimes.
