Caps now and in the future. I have never seen a line play with so much chemistry as they have.

Before I even clicked on the thread, I knew I was picking the Detroit trio.

You must have not watched the Russian 5 in Detroit, or even watched Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom the past two seasons.

The chemistry that the Russian 5 unit brought in Detroit brought the "puck possession" style to Detroit, which is the most sought after style of play in the world right now.

And Datsyuk-Zetterberg have had ridiculous chemistry since day1, whether it be playing with Brett Hull or Tomas Holmstrom.

And the Sedins' play with a chemistry that is about as good as it gets. They don't have the same overall talent as some of the other guys, but their on ice chemistry is poetic. They know where each other are on the ice as well as anybody.

I know all about the Russian 5. Trust me. Im Russian. I was referring to this year alone. The Russian 5 were the most dominate group of players ever assembled and put out on the ice. But Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin line is just bloodthirsty right now. Semin is tearing it up right now. I know Dats and Zetz have great teamwork together, but as a trio I take the Caps all the time.

While Ottawa and Washington's trios are talented, the Detroit trio is so complete that it's scary. They all backcheck, stick handle, shoot, pass, and skate with the best of them.

+36 is pretty startling though...

the one that has proven it can win in the playoffs.

The one that you can put on the ice in any situation and against any other line in the NHL, including the other two.

The one from Detroit.

I think there's a clear reason for taking Detroit too.

Like Beakermania said, they are proven winners.

Secondly, those are 3 of the top 5 two way players in the game right there.

Other than Alfreddson, every other player in this poll is an offense first, defense last player.

2 years ago i would have said Alfie-Spezz-Heatley, but now, i have to pick the Caps trio. Just having Ovechkin on your team is unbelievable, add One of the most skilled players in Semin, and one of the top young Centermen in the league. Can't go wrong with Dats-Zett and Hossa either.
