I almost would have preferred a much angrier, volatile, unstable nutcase who would jump on anybody who cheap shots players. Brashear or Roy or Godard or some such wack job.
I can so imagine Laraque after seeing Player A cheapshot one of the hab players get on the ice and call out the opposing goon. Once the fight is finished, the guy is hurting from a few heavy punches and they are lying on the ground as the linesman try to seperate them, BGL mentions to thank Player A for the fight.

That is pretty much what BGL can do to 'retaliate' against a cheap shot, as Player A would problably not fight him. Still don't be suprised if the goon goes back to the dressing room and tells Player A, "Next time, fight your own fights."

When he fought Thornton...that was his first fight of the season...and because it was a draw, Bruins fans now feel that Thornton put BGL in his place and the reason BGL doesnt fight as much anymore is because of his experience with Thornton.

I am very curious to see what will happen tonight...BGL is in much better game shape than he was during the first meeting, and I dont think this time around it will be a draw.

Thornton even said after the game...he wanted to get that fight over with right away because he didnt want the thought of having to fight BGL running through his mind all game long.

I have a feeling we are gonna see a VERY different BGL tonight than we and Bruins saw back on Oct 15th

Milan Lucic could curl up into a fetal position on the ice while singing the Crying Game & they would spin it into a negative for the Habs.

I look at it this way: did Lucic, or any other Bruin do anything effective in the 3rd period when the Bruins were down? Were the Habs dominated physically or roughed up after the whistle? The answer is no. I don't care if Thornton would have picked up Laraque & powerbombed him, the Bruins were keeping an eye out for BGL when he was on the ice.

Spin that, weiners!

Agreed in that's he's been playing better. Disagree witht he implication he hasn't been useful all year.

His best games were vs. Phoenix and vs. divisional foe Ottawa (last game). In both those games he policed well.

Georges can cycle the puck effectively because of his size, since it's nearly impossible for a defender to get him off the puck. I kinda agree that his presence hasn't been felt in any of the Canadiens' recent games, he could play a more physical game and hit more often.

The problem = LARAQUE don't know how to play hockey. He always go behind the net because i wonder if he can control the puck for more than 2 seconds while moving. He's absolutly horrible lol.Have you seen the hit he missed on Lucic? WOW .. HE'S SLOW. If Lucic don't want to fight HIT HIM. Begin can't fight like Laraque but he's not lady godiva like him.

BGL believes in fighting for a reason...now maybe Lucic gave him some reasons for next time.

I do wish he was a bit meaner though.

I guaranty you one thing, that next saturday against Boston, Georges Laraque will not care about the investigator penalty and he will jump on Lucic. The message will come from Carbo.

I think it would be much better if Laraque just pushes some Boston players around, see the Sens game, enough NOT to take a penalty, but enough to let them know that if they want to fool around......

I'd love to see Lucic get his...but I agree with Darz here - just play very physical and on the edge.

Claude Larose was a pretty tough cookie. I think he took on Terrible Ted Green a couple of times.
