Why is that bad? Catering to casual fans has already made the regular season a joke. Just wait until they add the shootout to the playoffs to cater to the "casual fans".

That might be true, but then most people also hate losing. Doesn't mean we should get rid of losses. Although come to think of it, the NHL does give points to losers so in a sense they have gotten rid of losses. Everyone's a winner in the NHL!

Tie, absolutely. Hockey is not supposed to be a skills competition.
Not as bad as the loser point though.

SO, I hate ties.

I prefer they move to a 10 or 15min overtime before the SO though

I enjoy the Shootout, even though the Flyers are absolutely miserable at them. I would however like to see a longer OT period. 5 mins is just such a short period of time, and I think it would be much more interesting if it were 10-15 mins.

Which players said they hate ties? (And, to be fair to both sides, which players said they hate shootouts?)

Go to just wins and losses, and a 5-man shootout.

Ties are so stupid. It's the worst feeling ever paying all this money to see a game live and then stopping with both teams with the same amount of goals. There's no concrete winner or loser.

I don't see why they can't just play 4 on 4 OT until someone scores. With how wide open the game is 4 on 4, there would hardly be any long OT periods.

Same here.

I don't even like the overtime.
