Lockout Logic

I was sitting here, and the thought struck me.... Say there is a lockout, and we lose half a season or so, and we have 40 games left on the original schedule. I wonder how the teams will prepare for when the league starts up again, because with only half a season, more than ever all these games are going to count.

Now, will the league give two weeks for everybody to come back, so the players and staff start to practice together? Or will management try and call the players back? I dont think management can call the players back in until a new deal is done. I wonder what will happen. It will be very interesting to say the least.

When a CBA is signed they will probably have a shortened training camp before starting the season. Ie if the deal is signed on December 30th, they would have camp from Jan 2-16th and start on the 18th. Just to give an example of what a timeline may be like.
