We had a thread for it yesterday, so I figured why not have another. It's a big enough issue to have it's own thread, I'd think.
Personally, I think it's a dumb move considering what Carbo reportedly said to Halak yesterday. It's going to kill any confidence he gained from his play last night.
I think its important for Price to get back in the net too as our #1. Truth is neither goalies have been playing poorly and the team needs to really pick up its all around game.
Carey Price has only really had two bad games this season and they've all come in the last week. He is still the number 1 goalie of the team and still has superstar potential. Do not forget that so quickly.

Halak is a professional. He played well last night, and he doesn't need others to tell him so. Same goes for when he played sub-par prior to last night. To think that him finding out he's not playing tonight after a hard-fought game last night is going to 'kill his confidence' doesn't give him near enough credit. He doesn't need a start tonight to feel good about playing well against Philly. You make it seem like Halak has the emotional makeup of a young teen.
Agreed, however Carbo told Halak yesterday if he played well, he would likely start the next day (or something to that tune)..
Might make Halak feel like he played poorly.
I think he said that more to keep Price in check. Make him realize that Halak is no slouch and could possibly steal his spot if he doesn't play better.
Halak played well yesterday, but I think the only way he was going to play both these games was if he stole one in Philly.

that's a good point.. would make sense especially if Halak isn't in today despite playing pretty good.
I would have liked to see Halak again, although im sure the only reason Price is playing is because the games were so close. Halak deserves to play, especially since he played well. This kid deserves to see some time for many reasons. If Price continues to struggle, I think Halak will see more games then he expected to.
And you were what? The fly on the wall when he said that. I know I was the only fly in the room and i don't remember him saying anything of the sort.
Yes he did say it.
''Jaroslav Halak va défendre le filet, et Carbo a laissé la porte ouverte au Slovaque pour qu'il dispute les deux rencontres de la fin de semaine, s'il livrait la marchandise samedi.''
So when Price loses allowing 6 goals, its the teams fault. When Halak loses allowing 2 goals, its his fault. Riiiiigght.
No, No.
Whenever the forwards and defence don't show up, reguardless of how many goals we concede or the manner in which they are conceded. It's the goaltenders fault.
