Lasse Kukkonen has been wavied by philly. With Van out for a while may, he be the player that sutter go's and gets. He is cheap and will fit under the cap. will this be good move or not. I don't know anything about Lasse Kukkonen can some fill me on him. this is all I got.

I do not know much about this guy... what type of D man is he... hope a hard core stay at home with no major iabilities... what we need plus another puck moving defenceman. BAsically Kipper needs a D corps he can trust...

Can he skate? Would he be able to play with Phaneuf? Honestly don't know that much about the guy.

I think the biggest problem on defence is the fact we don't have anyone that can play with Phaneuf. Aucoin looks good half the time, but the other half he is awful, Giordano isn't there yet and obviously Pardy isn't ready for those kind of minutes. If Sutter can find someone to play with Dion I think that would go a long way in solving some of our defensive woes.

What about a major deal to bring in Jay Bouw? Or there is a Sutter in NJ and they have some decent pieces to deal with perhaps.... honestly I think there is this stale kind odd atmosphere even in the midst of significant change... odd and bizarre.

How about we stick to reality and consider players that this team could possibly acquire?

What does Brent Sutter have to do with trade possibilities in NJ? He's not GM and even then, there would be the possibility of conflicting interest, because they work for different teams on the opposite end of trade negotiations.

He'd fit right in with all the other Euros on our team.

That profile looks outdated considering I read a whole other bunch like Hossa needing to be a playoff performer (lol).

If the Flyers are waiving him I doubt hes a top6 defender.

Or they are opening up room to sign a certain veteran.

I'd bring him in, it can't get much worse than the last loss.
What's Warrener's status? Isn't he making too much money to be nowhere? Or is he still injured?
I think we should also move a couple of stiffs that are making big bucks.
This team needs an identity change, and I really don't think it needs a major deal. Just get rid of a few under achievers or some guys on the bill for big bucks.
Something has to be done, the Flames can't just be a mediocre .500 team all year, because that looks to be the direction they're heading.

it's November man, wait until the mid-December and you'll have a clear idea of where this team is going.

Yeah cause so much changed from two years ago that a complete turnaround within the next 3 weeks is very realistic

Remember the difference between November and December last year for the Flames?

I wasn't talking abut the playoffs, just the regular season.

I'm talking about long term change. Not a brief winning streak. This team hasn't had a consistent effort for any one stretch longer than 10 games for years. I don't see it changing over the next few weeks.
